best friend bought a 1.25 ripsaw track from nelson's this summer. was told
it would work. we did the everything on the skid to make new again.
installed it all back together and now the track is hitting on front cooler protectors.

here is the question- do we trim down the track or leave it as and let it
ware down by it self.

thanks for any advice.

viper ripsaw track

i am guessing about .5 inch. going take off the trailer tomorrow

Many guys have just let them wear in. I prefer to notch the track. If you are never going to stud you can pull the protectors.

You can find lots of posts on this over on the 2-stroke side.

My dealer told me to just let it wear in, they installed it so I figured why not?

I put about 7000km on that track before I sold the sled, it did need to be replaced then, but never gave me any problems.
