Anyone done this & how did it work?

Do you use the same front mount hole in tunnel, just different rear?

Thinking about going this route instead of extensions!

I would encourage you to do just that, I enjoy my sled a lot more as a warrior then a shorty. yes you use the same bolt hole in the front, there are a bunch of kits out to extend the rear of the tunnel, I used mountain performance, and there are a lot of track choices, mine is a 9834 1.25, and there different ways of building or bying a 136 skid, much improved ride ,handling and hook up. good uck John
