Have any of the big guys rode their Attaks yet?

What seems to be the right place to start with the rear suspension?

I'm 270ish & was planning on starting in the 5th or 6th position!

What should be best for the rear spring?

Who thinks what?

THANKS GUYS!!!

BR

Thats a good starting point, if you get too much sag or bottoming, you'll have to move the spring clip to 3 and pre-load cam back to 1 or 2.
Worst case there is an optional spring 7.0kgf/mm PN 8FT47489 10 00, so you can get the right set without bottoming. Don't play too much until you get some time on it.

I always wear full leathers too!

Like I'm not heavy enough!

LOL, I'm with you both on the leathers and being a bit heavy. ;)!

I've got my GT spring set to max as the "Fat Boy" spring for the Ohlins EC is currently backordered.

I put the stiffer Spring on my shock. From conversations with guys with the 05's that are my size when they went to the stiffer spring they were happier. I weight about 250.

SledderSteve,
What do you weight?

You put your spring on 7?

Any other adjustments?

mrrestless, Whats the best way to change the spring clip on these monos?

BR

Nice to see some post from large individuals. Rock would be rather large as well. I tip the scales at 250 after a real good download in the morning! ;)!

I weight 265 before I don the leathers, boots and brain bucket. The Ohlin EC shock is a screw preload rather than the step settings. The max preload is 141.5 mm. I might get away with it just fine if I just ride nice and easy but this sled just doesn't feel like it wants to be ridden "nice and easy"

I am about 290 and have ordered the heavier spring.. Will be putting that in and adjusting with that.. I rode my viper will to light of a spring and man that was a bad idea..

275 lbs. out of the shower in my birthday suit. I'm up in ther air on this one. After reading alot of the 05' reports about the skid and hearing that the heavier spring will work better, I'm still wondering. I don't want to waste any snow time, yet I don't want to waste $ on something I haven't tried yet. It seems the 05' skid had some issues with cracks and bushing wear, maybe due to excessive bottoming. But the 06' skid is supposedly reinforced and updated? Maybe it won't need the spring? Who knows!

I'm about 240 naked. I set the shock at the stiffest (position 7) on my RTX. I haven't ridden it yet - but based on last years reports I'm assuming that 5 or 6 wont be enough. Any thoughts?

I am 325 if I take a real big crap before I weigh, if I spend the summer working hard I hit 340.
I rode an APEX mtn set to medium at it never bottomed on anything, theres lots of room in these new skids. I gave up on leathers, think about it, 325, 650 lb sled, backpack with water and leather clothes, boots, theres half a ton climbing mountains.

And people ask why I have NOS and am mounting a supercharger?
