Heck, Kachess's update was so good, I copied it and sent it to all my friends.
He makes some great points. I sure have missed his insight on the forum this winter.
All my buddies think if you don't have a turbo why bother. I tend to disagree. Yes, turbos are great once (and if) they ever get dialed in but, as far as I can tell you sure don't need one to go where they go 98% of the time.
Naturally aspirated and proud.

Also seems like we are hearing very little from Aaron, Blngs, Rx1m5, Sooner, Kachess, etc - the ones that used to post a ton. (sorry about the spelling of names!)
I have been busy working. When not doing that; I'm putting iles on the SCRX-1mtn

Glad to know I am gone but not forgotten! I am one that jumped ship to another brand. I am not really brand loyal to any maker, just enjoy messing with them and riding. I ventured over to an '06-M7 that I put a Union Bay 900 in and really lightened up. My recent adventure is I just picked up a RMK 900 last week that pulls like a pissed-off banshee climbing. Really liking that IQ chassis. I am really considering making my summertime mod a turboed Nytro. Been lurking in the turbo secton trying to get a feel for the Nytros for a couple months now. I pop in here every week or so to check out the posts, just don't really feel the need to be posting much since leaving the RX1 group. I do however hang out constantly (still) on SnoWest. Peace to everyone! I'm still here in heart! I love ya man!!!!!!

Chalk it up to all the new categories . Apex mountain ,and rx1 mountain should be in the same group IMO. A lot of the mountain riders spend more time on snowest it seems like also . Just my .02

Yah it totally depends on what I'm looking for as to where I post. The nice thing about Snowest is the dedicated Yami section. I think most of the Yami guys go there pretty regularily so one way or the other somebody who knows an answer will eventually see it. I like the Turbo section here for those kind of answers but for ex. I never read any of the Apex threads on here. Now that I've picked up a Nytro I'm surfing that section.

That is so true about being splintered into what I consider too many subgroups. I emailed the moderators several years ago to voice my opinion on this and was told people like the ability to speak model specific. issues.
I guess there is some merrit to it but I think a lot of the same questions are asked on each of these forums. In some ways it's too bad us grandfathers of fourstrokes couldn't help out the newbies but, unless we are lurking on their forum we'll never know what they need.
If you click on "active topic" 12 or 24 hours on the top of the screen it shows you the latest posts from all the forums in the last 24 hours. That way you can read everyone else's mail

I always use the "view posts since last visit". I have to make sure that I check often, otherwise too much to read!

I don't own a RX-1M but I often come here to find ideas when it comes to loosing weight or upgrading riding ergos as what you find also applies to the RX-1 shorties, most of the time that is. I have found a lot of help in here when it comes to chassis upgrades. I want to say a big thank you to all that have answered my post and posted their mods over the years.
Ty4Stroke has become too large to be able to follow all forums, for me it has. These days I browse the Turbo/SC section cause I ride a turboed RX-1, the TY Fun Ride Contest, 4stroke sled garage, Aftermarket skid and skis. I don't browse the Apex forum regularly even tho I own a '08 Apex RTX, I just can't find the time reading all forums. As mentioned above, I browse my favorite forums and try to keep up to date on what's going on in there. In summer I tend to read all forums cause of the lower activity in my favorite forums.

I'm still riding, at least until May 5.

There should be just one mountain section here on TY (rx, rs, apex, nytro)
I tend to browes the snowest forum more and more. Looks like most of the moutain riders only post there.

Agreed TT. No need to fragment the mountain talk into many forums.
What about merging the mountain forums into one 4stroke Mountain Talk forum?
MrSled what is your view on this?
BTW - I don't ride a mountain sled but I do ride mountains a lot. We do not have a lot of deep powder around here hence we don't need a mountain sled to climb the steep, but I like to read the good info in the mountain forums cause a lot of it applies when it comes to rider ergos, setup and weight savings.

Guys, on Snowest the only choice you have is the "Yamaha forum". Here you can select your specific model. Are you saying it would be less cumbersome to have everthing grouped together? What I like about this site vs. all the rest is that if I ride an Apex, I can go to that section. With the amout of posts we get during peak, lumping everything together would result in a new post going to page 2, or 3 rather quickly. What about going to 2 mountain forums? Something like 4 stroke mountain and 4 stroke mountain turbo/supercharger?
