I ride in the desert. My sled is set for sand and high temperatures. There are no other sleds out there and trails are fairly smooth.

Trail #5 in the UP between Clowry and Big Bay where I came across a couple moose last season. Pretty exciting for a city dweller.

Another favorite in the same area is Trail #14 between L'Anse and Big Bay. I believe there's about 50 miles without a single road crossing.
A more "social" favorite area is around Hurley, WI with Sidekick's and Bear Chasers for Pit Stops and of course the Hurley nightlife.
A few years ago, when we actually had snow, Forest County, WI was a favorite for both riding and social activities with lots of nice loops both long and short. http://www.100milesnowsafari.org/maps.html

My favorite place to ride is Cooke City Mt 80 miles from me. They average about 200"-275" of snow a season and have a great party on New Years Eve.
