i dont buy what your selling dirk, i have a boss kit no heater. i have run radar and gps with very consistent #'s. you may get different results in your testing, but with mine it gets the same shot every time, until bottle is near empty, my spark plugs tell me so. sure with 1000psi #s can very a little, but again spark plugs dont lie. i run fine line on the fuel/nos ratio. it would bog, surge, or something if it wasnt getting the same shot. just the way i see it. performs like a rocket with out heater and guage. junkie

I know for a fact that a bottle heater makes more consistant pressure and more power on boondockers kit.This was a a f7.

do you guys ride or just watch your bottle pressure guage, and turn the heater on and off. they are both under the hood, i dont have time for all that stuff. i arm it hit 10,000 rpm and juice it!!!!! please this is how the kit comes, i have tweeked mine to my taste. now the next time the snow flies i may be running axuliary race fuel tank, but no bottle heater. cya when it snows

With the right setup the heater will turn it self on and off. You set it up for lets say 900 to 1000 pounds of pressure. The heater will run when the bottle needs heat. You can turn it on witha flip of a switch as well.

On a real street drag night, I will test, and see if it changes with my system. But I agree with junkie, every time I would hit mine, the tach would read the same, and pull away the same. But will give it a try............

I have bottle heaters brand new, that have the thermostat built in, and won't be using them. Any offers?

summer time you might not see much of a difference with a bottle heater but in winter it definatley helps keep the temp up and more consistant.

Next RSD night, I will have one from the freezer, and 1 at 100° like I used to have them warmed up from the old system I ran. Big debate here, and I want to see if it changes as I have noticed nothing so far.

"we test our nozzle flow at 5, 32, 70, and 90F and our nitrous flow is within 15% over that temp range. barry"

Not enough for me to worry about.................

I'm not currently running a system on my personal sled. I've seen 5 systems in action "CB performance, NOS systems, Boss, Holtzman, and Boon Docker.

The CB performance had a Bootle heater and was spot on every time.

The NOS system setup was on a Turbo sled and had no heater and was very inconsistent. I also saw the Identical setup on another Turbo sled that had a bottle heater on it. It was spot on every run.

The BOSS had no heater and was also inconsistent. One run would be great the next felt like the bottle was empty

I can't speak to the consistency of the holtzman. I road two sleds with it and after owning a turbo sled that I can tell you the HP Numbers advertised are off.

The Boon docker also started with out a heater. It was very inconsistent. The owner add a heater and not only was the system spot on every time but he got more NOS out of the bottle.


NOS is cool but I highly doubt I'll every install a system. I don't like the idea of the bottle running out. However if i did run it I can tell you I'd have a bottle heater. I can also tell you I'd never own a Holtzman system after seeing it perform. I wasn't impressed in the least.

In regaurd to the comment about where am I racing from big-d. I don't ashfault race. I like to race on the ice. My stock Attack with a speed track was very quick.

He was questionsing if I had NOS and where I raced. I was just telling him what's I've done to my sled so far.

Thanks for answering my questions. I was surprised that you are not running a system or the way you talk have not had a system on your sled. I know nos-pro has tested several different systems and he does get consistency from his holtzman system without the heater. Nos-pro runs on asphalt and lays some consistant #. I would not be running a turbo with nos,just the nos. I will be looking at the holtzman system this summer and I will see on the track if the # are consistant without a heater and if not I will look at something else.
