Why the OFT Steering Relocator?

I don't wan't higher or more forward bars on OFT relocator

I bought it and didn't notice much of a change in steering effort or motion but I do notice it forces me to sit closer to the tank and more upright, which is good in the bumps for a while but then I start to feel crammed. I think I need a taller seat as well.

I sit most of the time when I ride so I don't want the bars any more forward or higher so I guess this would not be for me. My shoulders hurt after riding and I would like to change the direction of the steering force but not if it forces my crotch int the tank when sitting.

I wonder if most of the OFT re-locator fans are stand up riders?

You would likely see all the benefits of the locator and be able to stay a "sit down" rider if you were to simply rotate your bars back in the clamps - thus lowering them and bringing them back a bit. That being said, I've never actually tried that type of setup. Mine are pretty vertical in the clamps. Anyone else try it?

We have a extremely high satisfaction rate from customers across the board. The hard core riders to the people using it as a tool to get to and from the cabin enjoying not having the handlebars hit there leg when they turn. If you think of the Relocator fixing the steering angle and utilize your riser for your rider position is a good example. Even if you lay your riser back, you still have the benefits of the steeper post.

Just picked up the Black Relocators today and will have another batch of Natural before the end of the week, so they are being shipped fast.

Thank you,

plus you get a really cool OFT sticker

I bought mine second hand so no cool sticker. :o|

I bought mine back in October. I had to ride the sled once before I made the change, just so I knew what was being changed.

Relocator will be on before I ride again.

I'm mostly a sit down rider. I used to have sore shoulders from some hard rides, and then I installed the OFT relocator. It made a night and day difference to turning. The geometry of turning is now matched to the human body. I wouldn't have a Nytro without.

Buy one. You won't be disappointed. If you are, there are tons of people that will buy it off you.

This shows a side view of the difference.

Yep, that was my post from last year.

The difference in the way it rides is off the charts in my opinion. Sitting or standing, either are improved.

Let me try and explain what folks mean when they say it is up/down vs push pull:

It may be just me, but I felt I had to almost relearn how to drive the sled. I went a few miles and liked the position, but turning was a nightmare. I'm thinking "wtf"?!

Everything changed in literally an instant. My arms just sort of turned the bar different and the sled came into it's own. I had to pull down on the inside end of the bar, as opposed to pushing the outside end of it. It completely changed the way it set my body for the turn. I don't remember exactly, but I seem to remember dancing a small jig trailside.

Get the damn thing... end of story.

Doesn't this do the same thing. Lake Effect riser (Superman is also a site sponsor). Rotate riser up and bars back.

I don't believe that accomplishes the same thing, it does get the bars into a similar position however the OFT relocator actually moves the entire shaft up and forward. This actually changes the plane of which the handlebars turn. With your set up even though the bars are in the same place as with a relocator you still have to swing the bars in the same plane as stock, which is more of that up down motion that really gets the shoulders sore. The nytro is the only sled I've ridden with this motion and its noticable when you try other sleds throughout the day

^^^^ Nope. Steering stem is still the same angle, therefore the handle bar sweep is still the same. It might feel better, but it's still an up/down movement, versus a push/pull movement. The only way to fix the handlebar motion is to get the steering stem as vertical as possible. Which the OFT Relocator does.

I tried that myself and it was a bitch to turn put the relocator on and way less effort to turn and made it nicer to ride..I can hammer though the bumps now
