How much rpm loss are people experiencing when switching from 8jp to the xs825?
Is it possible to be down 400-600 rpms?

Always depend on clutch setup... for me it was 200-300rpm
That's what posted yesterday in post. Check the 'best bang for your buck' post. Winder posted that it does, but maintains the same top speed. So with clutching he thought it would gain with that belt on top end with less slippage

Exactly. Here’s the scoop again. 8jp would run 105-106 mph at 9-9150. Xs825, 106 mph 8400 creep to 85. Lighten the tip weight and would be a couple mph faster. Runs were back to back to back same stretch of hard pack trail on RR bed. That's what posted yesterday in post. Check the 'best bang for your buck' post. Its been a while, but I don't remember seeing that big of a change between 8jp and xs825 but between 8dn and 8jp I did back to back same day lake runs, and it did come close to 300-400 between the two,and 8jp had 3-4 mph on 8dn same distance.

Just ordered the Ultimax/or Timken XS 825 from Dennis Kirk(p/n 0203089). Is that gonna be the Timken one? Personally I guess it doesn’t really matter..personally they both(Carlisle and Timken) look very well made. They said they had 8 in stock.

It’s the same thing. Timkin has been around for a long time and bought out Carlistle from what I can read. Same belts as they always were. I’ve run them on my last 3 sleds, Rx1, apex and winder. Saw performance gains on each one from just the belt change. Best belts on the market IMOJust ordered the Ultimax/or Timken XS 825 from Dennis Kirk(p/n 0203089). Is that gonna be the Timken one? The XS825 is a great belt and the company stands behind their 1 year belt warranty. I have blown two and they have sent me two free replacements.
