2014 Phazer xtx
Hi guys,

Does anyone have a 2014 or 15 phazer XTX? Could you look lift up your rear end and then see how much it falls when you let it go? Mine has the heavy springs on it and still drops 4 inches...I am wondering if the gas has left my shock. I ordered up the spacers for the rear springs but have not put them on yet...while pulling the skid to do that I am trying to decide if I need to order a new gas charged shock from deycore and put that in as well. The sled only has 100 miles on it, but am thinking maybe it just lost the charge sitting at the dealer for a year.

If I do order a new shock, is it the same shock for all phazer years and model?

thanks in advance.

Not sure if this will help but I had the same issues with my mountain skid and installed FX springs with centering spacers and it has no drop. Very unlikely your shock is the problem with only 100 miles. All the shocks are interchangeable.

Make sure you don't have the skis on the dollies when checking sag.

So do the Hygear torsion spacers take out some of the sag? Could be nice for the times I ride 2-up

Spacers work amazing, and there isn't a mm. of sag on the wife's Phazer. Plus she's also running X-Click cams

ok...I have the hygear spacers, will get them installed and see if that corrects the issue.

The shock isn't going to do much with sag, ride height is in the springs. One thing to try is grease everything. Even though it's a low mile machine, the grease in the joints of the skid can get sticky when sitting over the summer.

X2 if I remove skid and clean and grease all the shafts and joints it has no sag at all tight up against front coupler blocks for about 2 or 3 rides then it gradually gets more sag till its almost against the back ones. Still rides great and never really affected anything. Is what it is. I like alot of sag to keep C.O.G. down. It helps handling.

I had my skid out to get shocks revalved and one of the cross shafts turned out to be damaged, possibly binding a bit causing more sag. Crazy it looked like tiny rocks had been in there scoring up the shaft...?? I never did figure out what happened to it. Previous owner beat this sled to sh$t but all the plastics were pristine so hard to tell when I bought it. This is the rearmost shaft down by the weight transfer blocks. And it had 1700 miles on it only and the shaft was in this condition...

The one the link pivots on is frequently bent. Is a hardened updated one to replace it. That will cause sag also. Is a post where I filled the steel link with bushings. Never bent one since.

Can you link that thread? Haven't found it so far. As you mention that I wonder if mine is bent, could explain why my center shock seems so stiff on bumps if its binding a bit!?
