Do anybody know if the Yamaha replacement carbides for turner ski's is any good. The stock ones ever lasted 100km. I been thinking 6" inside and 6" out. I believe woody's make the Yamaha replacement carbides. I know sharper are the best, but I need to order them and just don't have the time to wait. Trip planned for this weekend.

I would just pick something and ride at this point. Shapers would be my choice, but you'll have to run whatever is available. Aggressive is what I would suggest.

Once you find something that you like I'd suggest keeping spares around. I'm guilty of not having spares myself, but I'm also undecided on what I want to run.

Contact Port Yamaha, they keep the Woodys instock and they last many times longer- My Nytro i did 6 and 4 and others are running Vipers 6/4 or 6/6 just depends if you have studs or not

Can someone confirm that woody's actually make the Yamaha carbides

Ya same problem last weekend. Got 4 inch and 6inch from yamaha dealer. Was better then sharper and cheaper. Also in Stock. Made a huge difference.

Yeah I put 6" in and out on tuners and it works great on hard pack but the ski's are not that good in any kind of powder, putting new ski's on tomorrow

My stocks were cooked in a 100km also. Went to yammy dealer and got 4" for inside and 3" for outside put almost 400km on and they seem to be holding up ok. Huge difference in the handling also with a few other minor tweaks.

I had the same issue the carbides were paper thin with about 300 miles on. Put 6inch on the inside and hard weld on the outside. Needless to say it fixed all my pushing in the corners and it handles like a dream now!
