I have no problem with people defending Yamaha over the new Linup. However people have a right to the opposite opinion. From the looks of it many people were clamoring for a new Flagship sled. Not just one or two guys but many. So for anyone to come on this web site and list off all the reasons these guys are wrong is silly to me. I mean really who are you to criticize anyone for begin disappointed???

Dirk,
your absolutely right. On the bright side, those who have the 2009 are feeling pretty sweet right now.

Amen well said, another peeve I have is when any of us meantion a problem or issue we would like fixed other members jump on and start talking about issues with ski-doo.

If we wanted to talk about ski-doo why come here for that? Also I don't get it if ski-doo has problems that means it is all right and fair for yamaha to have problems.

I also feel in these tuff economic times brands have to offer more value for the dollar and make changes, espically on high ticket items. The 2010 really didn't change yet price is up. I PERSONALLY feel Yamaha didn't do enough, when the economy is booming sure little change is fine customers still have money to spend, but in tuff times people will think twice before spending and also expect twice as much.

For you to whine and try and defend your opinion from mine is even funnier!

Anyone defending has no reason to, it was plain and simple a let down. Everyone wanted a new apex LAST year and was let down. WOW 2 in a row, be surprised if they sell many new sleds at all next season. Also unless it was forgotten there is no Mountain Apex listed on the Canadian Yamaha Site.

does anyone know how much money it takes to bring out a new sled thake a guess what the apex cost from thought to reality i rember it was over 200 million and you want a new seld in a neww chassies every 2-3 years the rev was 5 years before a xp like its just funny listing to this some times how long was the zr 900 here had to be about 5 years all the manufactures do the same thing its just there on different cycles of innovation so right now it sceems like yamaha is behind

I'm not whining, I have a 2009 RTX se and had no plans to replace it. Get your facts strait before you run your mouth :die

Yami should know sledders are a pretty well to do group and want something new every year.

I couldn't even get thru this year and bought a turbo Cat as did a few others. I would have went with a new 180 HP Yamaha next year had they came out, but instead they left it in the trailer. I know it's there and they just didn't release it. Guess I'll have the Cat all dialed in for next year, and my Attak will be ready too if it doesn't sell first. Some people want to try something new every so often like me and I think it was a mistake on Yamaha not to bring something more to the table this year. At least it makes my 07 Attak worth more now. My wife will be much happier too!

I went to tip up town this year and stopped by Spicers. For those that don't know, Spicers is a huge Doo, Polaris, Cat dealer in Houghton Lake MI. It was a zoo in there and you could barely walk around it was soo crowded. As we left an FS Nytro XTX pulled up and two of my 3 buddies gasped saying what the hell is that. I said we need to go down to Hackers just down the road and check out the Apex series (I was on my Viper). There was no one there except for a few employees. Let me repeat that; There was No One there!!!!!!! If no one wanted to see the 09's and leftover 08's who's gonna want to see let alone buy the same stuff for 2010 with BNG's??????

I'm concerned for Yamaha.....................

I was there the same time on both tip up town weekends.
Spicers was jam packed.. couldn't hardly walk around in there.
There had to be 10 salesmen in there selling sleds.
Was crazy. I know they went through nearly 200 BVS helmets during TuT.
This last weekend.. wasn't a single sled inside Spicers main showroom..all boats... but still people asking about sleds.

Hackers, allthough a small dealer with hardly anything in it actually did very very well. I think Hacker told us he had sold 20 Nytros in January alone. He sold a Nytro and a Vector while I was standing there one day. What I don't know is if they were 08's or 09's and they sold due to the big rebates. My buddy bought a 09 Nytro RTX the day the new incentives were released and got the 1200 or 1500 off.. only reason he bought it.
