Ae the yamaheaters only on when the light is red and do the factory settings still work when you add more bars to them The kit I have installed does not have the mode switch just the light. 08'apex. Thanks

If it's a recent Yamaheater, the RED light means full power to the hand warmers. The factory warmers are completely bypassed in this mode.
When you click on the regular factory warmers, one bar at a time on the factory settings, the red light goes off, and the warmers work just like the factory ones should.
This should all be explained in the manual. I last installed one of these on an '09 Vector, and the Yamaheater worked great.

Agree with fusion except , if you have the booster module, all settings are a bit warmer as I understand it.....please correct me if I am wrong

Correct - if you have the booster.
I did not have the booster on the Vector.

While Kurt at Sled Start does sell the Yamaheater as part of a combo purchase with his remote starter and/or HID kit it is actually manufactured and sold by Rock at Yamaheater. I have all three products (Sled Start remote starter & HID's and the Yamaheater with boost). Both Kurt and Rock are great guys with the best products and customer service in the business.
If you want just the Yamaheater buy it from Rock direct. http://www.yamaheater.com/
With the boost module all of the settings are boosted with the red LED being insanely hot as you can see in my last post in this other thread. You will also find answers to any other question pertaining to this product in this thread.
