Did some good ole Iowa ditchbanging yesterday and wow I love this skid. It makes the ole 1 ton feel like and nimble! It jumps with ease transfers in the deep stuff excellent even though I have the transfer revolver at 1 and not 2. I can pisk the skis off the ground and hammer through real rough drifts and don't feel a thing. I probably jumped it 20-30 times yesterday and just had a blast. The one thought came to mind is that every thing is soft, jump landing is soft, big bumps are soft, little bumps are soft, every thing. It is finally starting to take stutters like a monoshock does. I rode with one yesterday and felt it was equal in performance but I coudl do everything else way better. Overall I'm finally 100% satisfied with the suspension and feel its worth the price of admission. Bear in mind though I have not had one loose bolt, idler wheel issue, rubber bumper issues, etc. I now have 1200 miles on the skid this year. Hope it helps people interested in the skid. Anybody close to North iowa can ride it at any time!!

Thanks for the info as I am seriously looking at this skid. I've had many durability issues with my mono RA and have lost all confidence in it holding up on any extended ride.

No problem, be nice if you could find somone's and ride it first. I think they are going to be practically indestrucable. Time will tell.

Kinger,
I had the chance to get into AD'S shop this week and meet Jeff, he is a great guy and was very helpful in giving some suggestions to try and get the skid working better. I had to pick up some rubber stops as one of mine was missing. He wanted me to bring my sled in and change to a lighter spring on the shocks but unfortunately I didn't have my sled and they are 5 hours away. Showed alot that he was going to have his guys tear apart my sled just to make sure I was satisfied with the product. I've been riding it 2 and 4 but am going to try 1 and 4 and 1 and 5 this weekend.

Twiz, when did you talk to Jeff about softer springs? Do they have softer scock/ spring packages? How and why did this topic come up with him? I am VERY interested in getting this skid softer or am considering selling it.

1-4 on the revlover is perfect for me, I go back to 2-4 when ditch banging. STAIN what preload are you at? I'm at 4 and its FINALLY starting to soften up after 1200 miles? How many miles do you have on it? Honestly I didnt like mine either at first it was too rough and going to 1/4 and preload 4 its perfect now. She soaks up little stutter bumps as good as the mono I was riding with this week. I still can't believe the ride would change that much with a 'break in'. I'm NOT a jumper or big rough trail guy but for the first time was actually looking for those things and having a blast with it. Like I said everything was soft. I have a bad back and doing a record 310 miles in one day the only thing that hurt was my neck from holding my helmet up!!

I have @ 1600 miles on this skid and am at 1 and 4 with preload on 1. Any higher preload and the rebound is unacceptable. Maybe I will try to adjust the springs to 4 ONE more time this weekend--just did 360 miles last 2 days and need a rest. I rode some railbeds today with some hard 8 to 12 inch bumps and this skid almost killed me. halfway down the rail I was determined to sell it and extend my mono but I don't want to give up on it yet

Ah stain you have to go higher on the preload, what your doing is when you sit on it and are moving along your compressing the suspension past the comfy zone, first bump you hit it goes into the anti bottom STIFF zone. It counter intuitive I know. BTW I weigh 215 suited up and I was tempted to go to 5 if it didnt get better. I think one should be for like people 100lb range. The rebound thing I hear what your talking about it seems to bounce around a little bit but that has gone away for me, OR i'm just so used it I dont care.
Maxdlx you want to hit the buttone go for it! What the crap are you doing in s florida in the middle of winter! I couldn't think of anywhere i would NOT want to be right that is worse then FL! LOL Were supposed to get 8+ inches on Tuesday this week, even down by your area! Woo hoo!

I concur. You HAVE to go STIFFER on preload! I did not believe it myself until this weekend! I just did 1,000 miles around the Gaspe Peninsula. I have 3000 miles on this skid and this weekend with the adjustments I made it feels like I have a BRAND NEW SLED! The stiffer the preload the better it got in the stutters. I was blown away. I moved the revolver back to 2 & 4 and softened up on the preload on the front shocks and turned up the dampening and VOILA!
I even called my wife to tell her I was so ecstatic! Not that she really cared but I was in AWE! Take the time to make adjustments. TRUST ME! TAKE THE TIME! Throw away ALL CONVENTIONAL WISDOM and TRY IT! It is AMAZING once you find that sweet spot!

just moved my preload to 4 and revolver on 1/4 and went for a short run---I feel I still need softer springs or a revalve. It was better in the really short bumps but the rebound still kills me . Time to give Jeff a call

I agree though with the rebound in the rear, could use an adjusting knob.
