had same problem until i tried the spoked style wheels. these are in the online yammy catalogue. these do not delaminate for me. stockers delaminated within 100 miles every time. the spoked ones are only like $22/ea.

mine nuked at 1800-1900 miles on my 06 GT. Twice. 3rd belt shredded at around 2100. Guess I'm consistent. You'd think I'd learn to change it out at 1600-1700. I'm a slow learner. Consistently slow, though.

i have them on my apex. great for straight/speed runs. not as great in twisties as i tend to use the end of the grip for leverage and tangle with them. you do get used to them and benefit outweighs negative
