by the design of the ski most of the flotation is on the inside with 6.9's. The 5.7 are better on trails than the yammi skis but will still lack flotation in the ditches. when I had my XTX I tried both and ended up with yammi mountain skis due to changing over parts. best case is trying...
You will lose some midrange if you leave it alone. I would drop a gear if I was you. I put on a 1.5 crossover and my brother put a 1.75 on his and he dropped a gear and it was fine
X2; disappointed after hearing of Yamaha fit and finish and my hood looks used. Went to manufacturer sneak peak and new 2011 Yamaha Nytro MTX SE looked same way. do a search guys have posted solutions
Good article but it was the only one with 162 track and it was a good three seconds behind the others up the hill. needs some more horse and time to pull some heavy steel off since Poo and Doo figured it out
that is the decision I made is to go with a MTX. hard to trade sleds with mods. Really like the looks of the new Poo and it is hard to argue with a sled 100 pds lighter
I tried a search but I didnt get a lot of information. Looking at the sale on tracksusa, I was thinking of long tracking my XTX from 144X1.5 crossover track to 151X2 inch Poo track. I know the front will clear the cooler once protectors are removed but what about length out back with tipped up...
Ran mine this year with one. It will clear the front protectors just fine. It is really durable and hooks a lot better than the old ripsaw. I ran it in ditches, trails and deeper snow and it worked great. adding heavier track did lose some mid range power and a couple MPH on the top end but...
I think most of the ones you see for sale are already bent and the owner has repaired it and is trying to unload it. The others you see for sale are owners who have not been able to dial in the sled's handling.
my brother and I both have XTX, they are hard to dial in the suspension. On...
did you order the new style that just came out or the old ones? I put the older style on mine and you will need the longer bolt, two spacers per ski otherwise it will all fit. deeper keel will change the feel on hard pack just to give you a heads up
starter relay was froze up. The location of the electronics and the open vent exposed to snow is not a great combination. needs snow screen from the factory IMO
My brother and I removed his rails on the top (stud protectors) and it made a huge difference. I am pulling out all the extras this summer. Good to see you have the required equipment Rubber mallet!
I had the shop change my track out and t they found the same thing and replaced it (bolt) for warranty. Seems to be an issue that will be updated someday.
