i have been running the zbroz for 2 seasons now, strong well build, improves handeling on the trail. strongly considering going with the Skinz this year because of the reputation of a GREAT improvement in the steep and deep.
I'm riding much the same area, same kind of riding and @ 6'4" 255 lbs with full riding gear. Rear shock set @ the more agresive location @ 140lbs, front set @ less agresive position @ 85lbs. That might be a good starting point for you.
So where is all the snow this year...not much for new snow here in the last month. (SW alberta and SE BC Rocky's) Just wondering if its better elsewhere.
My 2 cents...get the T S rear and new track...you will have a new machine...and reliable. I had same experiece with the stock sled, you know the stuck all the time thing, always last...no more!!! its the best $ 2,800 I ever invested.
I've tried the premium with no noticable difference, so back to running 86 octane. did not notice any fuel economy, but then I did not check it either, just filler up and ride.....
No..purchased the skid from Yammy dealer... 6 bolts a little drilling and whamo...it fits right inside the stock bumper on the front..don't know about this sports bumper??..is that some after market thing??...don't think I would even consider going without...all them rocks, stumps and sometimes...
I have been running the Yamaha skid plate for 2 years now. have the stock plate under that as well. i drilled some 3/4'' holes (4) in the skid plate to drain the water.
yea..Yammy belt!! 1st one lasted about that 1,200k.then the last 2 have been 400k...not sure wats goin down..running stock engine...cleaned up all the left over belt (BTW not much when ur doin 110 k) and inspected all the clutch parts, all looks good..no play anywhere..alignment looks...
well...i had the same question, i have my e brake on and I was seting the track tension on my new CE and discovered the same play as I was pulling the track from forward to reverse. I did tighten up the chain as well with little or no difference. happy to hear it is normal...I have a lot of...
Thought I would get in on the octane discussion. I too have been running 91 since new until one day by accident i ran 87 of course I though I was screwed but I NEVER noticed a difference in power at any elevation. (up to 6500 ft)
Wow thought I was nuts when I got chains like that out, to straighten out my subframe. (might have hit a tree) However i tied one end to a post in the concrete and used a JD telehandler to nudge it back using the hydrolic boom. Both sides look even again!!!
I had to replace mine @ 500 K (lots of hard fast trail riding) since then I have tightened up the strap (2nd trop last hole and loosened up the track tension (factory setting seems much too tight) now the sliders seem to last longer (850 km)
Yes echo the disappointment in the track, 400km and paddles are bent like you are all talkin. What do you sacrafice (in ride when you reverse the track? Also havin to replace sliders after 400km is not impressive (probably some what self inflicted however........non of the other sleds i'm with...
