Funny, the only thing that sled has in common with the production nytro is the engine. You would think yamaha would wake up a little and put a lot of those parts on their production sled. Maybe they will. There is always next year.
I paired everything up with a set of doo 6.9 pilots and it made a huge difference. The sled rides a lot better now. I am not hugely disappointed with pioneers service i just found that hygear was much better. I think you will like pioneers revalve. And you can't really beat the price.
I had my shocks revalve by pioneer and i bought springs and torsion spring spacers from hygear. If i were to do it again, i would buy everything from hygear. Not that bruce did not do a good job, but i felt the customer service of hygear was phenominal. I think this time of year bruce gets a...
At the end of my first ride of the season, I had a huge block of ice attached to the back of the tunnel. Which is pretty typical of what i saw all last year. So, i went to home depot bought a 12 by 18 sheet of aluminum, bent up 3 sides and bolted it to the bottom of the tunnel protecters...
Go to the mountain forum and click on "Tabs mod shop" sticky at the top of the sub forum. I think on the 3rd or 4th page there is a pdf version of the 08 nytro service manual. This may help you out a lot on the tear down. Best of luck.
The nytro is an awesome sled. If i had the choice again i would buy the nytro again over any other sled. But in order to make that nytro handle well i would immediately change out the skis for a pilots. Handling with the pilots is a night and day difference.
I completely agree with billy, in maine its a safety issue not to stud. This last weekend my wife flipped her sled because it was not studded. She didn't get hurt, but studding is a really good idea.
I am not sure how their boards hold up, (i haven't gotten mine yet) but imho they have the best customer service i have seen. I would call them, i really think that they will work with you.
I have an 121 fx nytro. If I was to buy one again i would buy an xtx. The xtx has a higher top speed and more off trail capabilities. Which ever one you get you will have fun. I know i do everytime i hop on the beast.
I am not sure about anyone else. But i am on the forum to find out tips, tricks, and new mods to make the sled that i ride better. It really makes no difference to me what you think of your sled or what you think of mine.
