Well in addition to recently finding both my slide rails cracked I also notice that my W arm is starting to crack at the top cross bar on the left side. I will be purchasing a new "W" arm from Yamaha, but before I do that I wanted to know if the latest and greatest "W" arms end up cracking too?
Going on a 3 day sled trip this weekend and just found that both my slide rails are cracked at the rear pivot arm bolts. Will it be ok to ride like this or should I have it fixed first?

In our riding group there are 4 Attaks. 2 of the sleds drive shafts broke at very different milage. Doing the work yourself and just doing the drive shaft you will be looking at $250ish. Drive shaft $180, pressing the drivers on...

Possible yes! If it was there it was by mistake. I guess all I can say at this point is double check everything make the adjustments for the reverse and try not to worry about it. Sounds like you've done your homework anyways.

Don't think so...if you did that then the circlip may not go on. Maybe you had an extra washer behind the cupped washer for the top gear...do you think that was possible?
Did you account for all the washers behind the secondary sheeve...not sure if they the same size sitting here, but worth a...
