Yamaha was running 0w30 for the longest time, now they are at 0w40. The o is the cold pour point white the 40 is the warmed up oil thickness. I would say any full synthetic oil (good quality) should be fine in the range closest to what Yamaha uses. Now when it real cold the 5 weight might cause...
Well I sold my 2007 Attak 2 weeks ago waiting for the new 2010 release for Yamaha and after seeing no changes for 2010 I am going to p/u a leftover 2009 Renegade 1200 4tec. I have had nothing but good luck with my Yamaha, but the weight being my only issue of note. I test rode the Nytro xtx for...
2700 MILES GOOD SNOW, 5 WHEELS REPLACED, 1 SET OF HYFAX.
Other then the wheels and hyfax I am very happy with my 2007 Attak.
What part numbers are you guys using on the Skidoo wheels you use instead of the Yamaha wheels. Any mods needed?? I think this would help with the hyfax and cure the...
If I ride at 60mph or less I can get 20.3 mpg Imp. If I ride it normal 70-80 mph I get 17 mpg. I think the milage and performance is great. This is a 2007 Attak with 1500 miles on it.

Just for your info, I have the 13mm swaybar in now, and it works very well, you almost don't have to lean. As far as down side, it does telegraph some of the square edge bumps a little more. It is not what I would consider harsh though. I think its noticable because I did a before and after...
Ok this is what I did, Changed the factory skis due to the push and inconsistent performance. Now I run the C&A razors. I started off with Shaper 7.5 bars here is the problem. Sled would still push in corners as I had to back the ski pressure off and max out weight transfer to obtain reasonable...
I do not have a picture, but my dealer looked at my hyfax at 800 miles (2007 Attak) and said they had 60% left on them. They look like alot of wear at front of rear scissor (down to line) and good every place else (wavey though). I look at them and think they are done. I now have 1400 miles on...
My Yamaha dealer said if I only buy one option for my sled it should be a Stump pan. He said that is the weak link in the motor, if you hit the bottom of the sled the motor can be damaged easy and leak oil, at the very least screw up the drain plug.

I have the C&A razors with the 7.5 shapers, I am switching over to the Bergstrom trip 8" with ski savers I will let you know if it helps in the heavy steering.

I try and run mine loose also, my wear seems to be in front of the rear scissor. My dealer says I still have 60% left on hifax, but they sure look done too me.

Well, I came over from Doo, because of engine issues, every one has them, the bigger thing is how much time lost due to repairs. Hope it all works out and your back on the snow soon.
I put 800 miles on my 2007 Attak, with spring in clip 2 cam 6, and would bottom very easy as well as get the donkey kick. My weight is 230 lbs, and I ride fairly normal I would say. I had the 6.5 spring installed clip 2 cam 3, and the ride is better all around. It will still bottom (much less)...
I just had the 6.5 spring put in my 2007 Attak. It is set on clip 2 cam 3. the sled rides smoother now then stock and does not bottom as easy with no more donkey kick. I weight 230 lbs with out gear. This combined with the C&A razors have made this sled great.
I replied to you on hcs but here goes, I did not like the stock skis and I tried the bergstrom trp points 8" c/w with ski savers. It still pushed in corners and did not float in soft snow. Coming off a Rev I was use too heavy steering, and most other sleds owned, I was always dialing up the ski...
Well I started in the stock position, but with trying to dial out ski lift and track ratcheting I am now in the center hole. The skis still push in the corners so I have just ordered C@A pro razors. I hope I can keep the limit strap in the middle whole as it works well to stop ratcheting while...
Set your limiter strap to the middle hole (3 out of five) then you can run the track so it hangs about an inch or so without any weight. Mine did ratchet once prior to this setup, and since has not. I am running 162 studs down center. Front springs are five turns loose from stock, center shock...
