last 2 rides I have had the "check engine" light & triangle warning lights come on and the sled displays same issues as TORS but, there are no codes ( 84 TORS or 42 TPS ) What is wrong..?
It slows and limits RPM just like TORS
I think it is TORS but no codes.
I can ride for 15 mins with no issues then it happens and I have to wait 30 secs by the side of the trail for it to pass then start riding again..??
Please could use some help
Thanks

check yor throttle for free movement, happened to me a couple times ice build up in the pivot, possible tps issue , but no codes can also be an ecm issue, one thing to check is the antifrezze level if the ecm is seeing a cold condition it'll limit power and flash the lights as well (check t-stat, level and for an air lock in the system)

First thing to check is probably the TORS activation test detailed on page 6-5 of your owner's manual. Then, I'd check throttle free play and routing of the throttle cable. Next, I'd disconnect the TORS system as shown on page 9-1.
I had this issue on my 05 Vector. Ultimately, Yamaha issued a service bulletin for that widespread problem and it turned out that the fix was to replace the ECM.

07 Apex RTX ER - possible TORS and/or TPS problem
Thanks BigMac..
Some of those thing I can check but there are enough possibilities I feel I should take it to my Dealer..
I'll just forewarn them that I can't have them put me in the poorhouse looking for the problem.. I don't have a lot of money to spend with the Dealer.
The Dealer should be able to check the ECM using a TDT quite quickly wouldn't you think..?
Oh... and thanks for the welcome..!

update to this posting
Took the sled to the dealer and found out it was overheating..
Airbox lid was not on completely and not square at the bottom either
and some air in the coolant - as some of you guys said..
This triggered the engine light and the warning light but now codes..
