Sidewinder clutch will fit on your sled... FYIYeah that’s the plan. Back to the UP after this big dump of snow. Guess I better stock up on belts
Lots of people dumping that clutch in favor of the older ones, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I have almost 19000kms on mine and the sheaves have practically zero wear.

1. Your clutches may be dirty & binding. This will create extra heat which kills belts. Although they will be warm, you should be able to hold your fingers on the outer sheave of the primary and on either of sheave of the secondary indefinitely after running it for a while and pulling the side cover off immediately after stopping. If it is hot enough that you have to pull your fingers away in less than a 10-12 count, they are getting too hot.
2. Your primary sheaves do show some wear but you don't necessarily need to replace them. Depending on how deep the grooving is, Thunder Products Clutching can cut the sheaves so they are flat again. You'll likely also end up with an "overdrive" cut which will allow the belt to travel higher in the primary... achieving higher top speed.
With 12,000 miles on it, that primary is due for a rebuild anyway (which Thunder Products can do). There are weight bushings, roller bushings, moveable sheave bushing, slider pads, and cover bushing in that clutch. Any of those could be worn too much.
