15 Viper
I have a hairline crack my inner chaincase in my 15 viper. I bought a used inner thinking it would be a direct replacement, it doesn’t have the wobble bearing so I’m assuming it’s 2017 or newer. I only realized once I had them both on the work bench and after reading about the bearing.
I’m not sure how to proceed because the jack shaft is a different diameter. Neither factory bearings would work with my jack shaft.
Anyone know if I could use my 15 jackshaft and just get a sized bearing, and if the rest of the interals would still work?
Or do I need to get a 17 jackshaft and would I the rest of my parts work in the chaincase?
Is a 17 inner chaincase and my 15 outer compatible?
Or for cost and simplicity, should I repair my old inner case(are those able to be welded)?

Thanks in advanced for the info

Ya, I did read this and other forums on this topic. Seems like I’m the only one trying to update the chaincase without updating the jackshaft.
Thanks
