Has anyone run a set of these on the dyno? I'd rather not use up my NGK favours on "boy they sure feel fast". They'd have to make a HUGE difference if someone was actually going to pay retail for a set lol.

Yes, I have run those expensive plugs on the dyno, and even have an extra set kicking around somewhere. NO HP GAIN spending $80 per plug! They were given to me to test on the dyno and did NOTHING to the horsepower curve over a standard plug. Yes, indexing plugs works on a four-stroke to the tune of about 1 HP. The CR10EK in a Yamaha four-stroke is a power producing option. Its a freebie as I see it. An engine needs plugs to fire, might as well put them in if you want 2-3 HP. They don't loose power, they don't ruin your engine, the don't loose any fuel mileage, you don't need to spend a bunch of time indexing them and there are no downfalls that I have found. Why don't they come from the factory? They cost a few more dollars! The penny pinchers at Yamaha would not go for it. There's alot of things they could do better, and don't for cost reasons. Why are we still arguing about and questioning these plugs? They work, plain and simple. They are in every machine I run, and the guys that I run with. If you don't believe it, then use what you have in the machine stock.

Two identical sleds, two riders with identical weight,
line up side by side, and run side by side.
Now...one guy changes his plugs to the CR10EK
What would you notice when they lined up once again? Better Acceleration? Better Low End? Better Midrange? Better Top End?
I'll accept the 2-3 HP increase, but would we see a difference between 150 HP and 153 HP ????
ps..we just put them in our 2006 Apex GT and our 2007 Apex RTX

I honestly don't beleive a fraction of the claims of horsepower with plugs, air box mods, etc, etc If I added all the mods up on my Firecat I must have been 180hp?
I think the best advantages yet are clean belt and clutches, track set to right tension, ride height, etc,etc or loose some weight. LOL
Thats why I'm adding one thing at a time to my apex and will know what it does.
Just my opinion.
