2005-2006 TY ride in Ontario?

I would be interested. Wawa is a hell of a drive, so something further east would work out better for me.

OK guys - we can star in Wawa and take a 3 day circle tour (Wawa-Hornepayne-Manitouwadge-White River-Dubreuiville-Wawa). If this is the choice plan on minimum 330Km (200miles)/day. This will not leave a lot of time for sight seeing and is not for the faint at heart!

huh? where are we going after lunch? lol

Don't want to put a downer in your soup guys but you are missing some of the best riding. Being from Ontario I would suggest going a little further. Start in Elliot lake - Chapleau-Tinmmins - New Lisgard -Sudbury and back to Elliot. A great ride. About 1200 miles and a wonderful variety of riding. I do it every year. Have also done the route you are suggesting but there is no night life etc. I love to ride but also to enjoy when the ride is done. If you are interested I could give you more info and destination stops.

I would also be interested in comming. Maybe we can make it later in Feb. to avoid the extreem cold in January?

Count me in too!! I agree about Sudbury/North Bay/Elliot lake area. Great riding AND its closer for most of the Ontario guys. I talked to Jon B at the races on Sunday about it and he's in too...possibly with something with forced induction :). I would hazard a guess that there alot of southern/central Ontario guys that will come if we don't go crazy far away...and the northern guys wouldn't have to come THAT far east...kind of a half way thing...

If I don't have a stupid show on the weekend planned I could be talked into going aswell. DokC we could hook up and go together but I agree, as much as I would like to go to Wawa, the Tri-towns are probably better in allot of aspects. Getting there being one. HMMMM forced air-induction you say, guess I'll have to find him at the sled show. ;)!

I would be in if we plan a trip in mid March. That is when the trails are the best....and there is no snow down south. Last year we went on the Easter weekend from New Liskeard going westand then north to Timmins....best trip af the year...by far.

I believe it was the last weekend in March!

Snow...I'm sure you can find someone to fill in for ya!! Carpooling is a great idea...we must keep that in mind. When do you get your Apex? Ours is really starting to come around...its starting to run quicker times then our SRX and that's no small feat! Oh, there is a COSDRA grass drag in Cookstown (just south of Barrie) on Oct 29/30th for those of you who want to see the Apexi in action.

So what are the thoughts for a time frame? 1 week? I’m thinking the later part of Feb or March would be the best for Northern Ontario, but I do need to schedule my vacation at the beginning of the year to get out of work. I do prefer Wawa going north to the Hornepayne/ Longlac/ Hearst area since I’m from there, but I’ll go anywhere there is snow.
BTW, I guarantee a good night life and know many locals in those areas. Hearst will be a blast :drink:

I wouldn't mind starting in Sudbury, but if anyone else wants to start further east the day before and head out there it would be better for me. Either way Sudbury and New Liskard are about the same 4 to 6 hr drive for me depending on weather.

IMHO I think Liskeard is the best place to start...especially for guys from Ottawa/Quebec etc. I met some buddies from Montreal in Liskeard and they said it wasn't a bad drive at all.

I tried to leave last year from Sudbury a few times and it seemed as if it was tough to find snow at times where Liskeard is always good. Good place to park in Liskeard as well.

As far as a time frame....I wouldn't be able to go for much more than 4 days ride (not including driving time).

PS...we really need to make sure we Hearst!!

Perfect....what about New liskeard to Cochrane....Cochrane to Hearst.....Hearst to Timmins....Timmins to New liskeard.

That sounds like a good starting point. ;)! How do the rest of you feel about that?
