ontario ty ride for 2012

Travelodge Airport North Bay: 120.09/night

Clarion Resort Pinewood Park: 105.07/night

Best Western North Bay: 110.08/night

Comfort Inn Airport: 108.08/ night

From my understanding the Travelodge Airport is the best as far as location goes. The others may require us to trailer to the trail depending on snow conditions in town.

Are are other options out there. One I go to often is the Mattawa Golf and ski resort. They have a Large cottage that hold up to 12 people. It is not in North bay but there are many loops and ride that we can do from there. It has has four bedrooms and accommodates up to 12. (Minimum $300.Maximum $360 per night).

If we go there we could split the cost and save a bit of money? They have a restaurant on the property but the cottage has a full kitchen too.

Another option is Camp Conewango. A bit more pricy but it is directly in the middle to the best trail NB has to offer. My personal favorite trails to ride and are always in great condition.

I do not know availability on the 2 cottage places but I can give them a call if that is an option...

I do not know availability on the 2 cottage places but I can give them a call if that is an option...

- Holiday Inn is across #17 from Travel Lodge, but it's a wicked scrape across 6 lanes of traffic.
- Fanny's and restaraunts are close.

- I "think" Camp Conewango" is closed?
- I know they're not selling gas there anymore, and there was talk of it closing in the winter.
- Go onto freedom sledder and PM bbakerbay. He's a NB resident and belongs to the NBSC.

6 Lanes of traffic is not fun with a large group.

There was some talk about the camp finally opening up in he last 2 weeks in OC.

I am not 100% sure on if it is open or not. great food!

I did talk to him before about places to stay. He said the Dinner Bell but it is booked solid.

Thanks!

- Yeah, the Dinner Bell books up quick. I think there's only 8 rooms or so?

- Make sure you stop there to eat though!
- You won't leave hungry!

- I've sent an email to the owner's of Camp Conewango. I want to know straight from the horses mouth.

- I'll let you know when they respond.

- What are the dates you are in NB again?

- I got this excerpt from an email I sent Camp Conewango when I enquired abouth their status...

"We are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday from noon until about 7 p.m., the Lake is staked and we also sell gas. "

That's great, thanks!

They are in the middle if great trails so no need to come back to HW 17 for gas/food.

Glad to hear they changed their mind John ;)!

Unfortunately, something came up and we will not be able to attend. Hope you all have a good ride and the trails are in good shape.

willing to chip in on the cottage plan. just let me know.

Sorry Mooseman.

Maim, I would do the cottage thing too.

What one where you thinking? I would have to call them soon.

Also what week end works best?

I think Canowango is the best located, they are open for gas/food but not sure about accomodation. I also think it is a bit more expensive. It is in the middle of the best trail/snow conditions.

If we go this week end we could even venture out into Quebec for the free week end!

I think we where planning either the 11/12th or 18/19/20th for family day week end but many had plans already I think.
