2007 YAMAHA PHAZER FX 500 WON'T START

Hi,

any help would be great, been out of touch for a while family problems, machine turns over, new battery, fired for a quick second and now just turns, anyone with the same issue please help

Is it getting fuel? key on , can you hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds?

yes, Thank you for the response, I am wondering if the injectors are stuck from over the summer, I know I will most likely have to tear it apart

try pulling the air box lid and spray a little raw fuel into the throttle bodies.. if it fires then you know the fuel pump is not getting fuel in.

used a little starting fluid spray into the intake, fired right up, but won't stay running, fuel pump cycles, maybe the fuel line is clogged or the injectors

Fuel filter? and make sure you have good fuel and enough in the tank.

been a few phazers/venture lite this year with stuck/sticky injectors.

i would pull the fuel tank shroud and put a hose from the tank into a conainer and check that it is pumping fuel on the prime cycle 1st. had a few impellers fail on in tank fuel pumps before i went after the injectors.

I have a similar problem 07 phazer won't start after summer storage I have fresh spark plugs and checked spark through diag injectors spraying fresh battery charge to full power when I crank it spins at 270 RPM but does not try and start if i rope pull it from the clutch I can get it to pop. Super frustrated what am I missing.

try leaving the ignition in the run position and jump across the starter solenoid with a screwdriver or wrench. i have had ignition sw that lost spark/ecu power in the crank position that when i jumped the solenoid would run fine.

It cranks over fine and i tried the screw driver it just dosn't fire

Know after doing nothing differnt it cranks about 400 RPM and is popping like it is about to start but dosn't

But it will run with starting fluid for a few min?

sounds like the injectors are full of water. did the old plugs smell like gas when they came out?

Have you installed brand new spark plugs?
