2012 artic cats

Best looking sled on snow.......and probably the power and handling to back it up. Too bad I'm in a 5 year warranty.

a very close friend picked up 2 new sleds this year... 2012 XRS(his 3rd 10,11,now12) and a new F1100 turbo sno pro.. he had 2 apex's and a nytro... this is his first cat... ever!!!...

Trust me... he is a nut... and will drive this thing to try and break it... so i will have a good amount of seat time on it this winter... i will be giving some real world views.. good and bad... i love yamaha.. but wow... these are something else...

Either my eyes are playin tricks on my or this pic is photochopped. I see a wheel under the ski of the skidoo anyone else see it???????

Some TY Apex guys are running them this year should be interesting. Post over on HCS of 126mph stock on ice. I have my eye on them but am leary of cats quality.
I'm waiting a year to see also how they hold up and run, if they suck eps Apex for me.

From what I have read the 2012 cat turbo hits a wall on the top side. 110-114 for mph which is realistic and good number but the cat guys automatically fiquired 120 box stock.

there are guys reporting to d&d now, stock engine/clutching with a 14" wide track doing 126, and stock ripsaw doing 125 mph, both tracks studded, just got done reading that over on hcs... there is a guy from alaska doing 114gps with a 14" wide by 1" with 87 octane fuel and so far no deto light and detune... I belive these new cats are going to be very, very fast once people get some seat time on them to do clutching/and gearing. along with their hopup tunes they are going to be insanelyfast!

My hope is that Yammi finally figures out it needs to lose weight. It's been a fat #*$&@ for too long, and that makes guys stray. :>

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the new Cat is not lighter than an Apex and if it is, it's not by much. It does make more power and has a fantastic rider position...but weight is a moot point when comparing the two.

Over on HCS they had a Z1T Sno Pro on the scales at 584lbs..no gas...I think they are closer in weight than that.

Here are the weights. Yamaha 4-strokes are heavy compared to what the other OEM's are doing. 549lbs for a turbo sno-pro 1100.

Estimated dry weight is prone to debate :exc: .I stick to the HCS/sno-west numbers before what arctic cat stats.

Hey bulldogbones...

Not photoshop... look closer... sled dolly.. Took this pic myslef... my buddy bought they new XRS, and sno pro... took these a few weeks back... since them they both got new 1.5 ripsaws, with 160ish studs in each.. ECU for the cat is going to speedwerx for the re-program... stock,210, and 240hp settings...

As stated... if this thing works as good as it looks this will be my next..
