2016 Yamaha Apex?

WOW, is that correct 19,206 Views. I wonder if anyone from the Mother Ship see's those demographics.
 
As my ski doo, and polaris buddy said "yamaha riders are like Honda, toyota, and Volvo drivers" dedicated to vehicles that don't have major issues so why switch unless there is something huge coming out. Little truth there... even though that is a wide brush stroke statement
 
here I am, waiting patiently for a re-launched apex. quite happy with my xtx, with the lack of snow over the past few years, the waiting part isn't so bad....yet

True to a point, but it is technology and innovation that drives the powersport industry. If Yamaha continues to be asleep at the wheel there will be more and more people jump ship every year. Its a shame because Yamaha broke a lot of the molds in the industry but that seemed to stop about 10 years ago. The same is true for their ATV line up.

Well the 2011 up is the last tech so the Apex is a 5 year old sled! Question is what do you think the Apex should be? Its a fantastic lake racer/trail sled! Those who buy it for what it is are less prone to change it then those who buy it thinking its something else. Change for the sake of change is not always good. I don't mind a lighter sled as long as it will stay together like the motor, more power is fine but if its only to have the claim of a number then why bother! Current motor is as fast as ones with the bigger numbers so why stress the motor more to make that power if its not needed, leave that to the turbo crowd.

The Viper gives the big bump crowd what they want and the Turbo gives the mountain crowd what they want. The Apex gives the trail crowd what they want! I've said it before and I'll say it again if you turn the Apex into a big bump sled or a mountain sled at the sacrifice of what it is as a groomed trail sled its not worth it. Having said that they will probably ruin it as that has happened to me before, they build a perfect sled and then change it into a pile of crap right before my eyes.

Long live the Apex!

Like myself ,I think you'll be waiting a ""VERY LONG TIME"" for a new Apex replacement! :(
 
When Yamaha brings out what it is, its going to be expensive ! Remember the Rx-1 WOW it was just pure awesomeness ,- 4-STROKE POWER! TAILPIPES! COOL !.they WILL hit it hard again and show the sno mo world what they can do! with all the power the 4strokes have ,i dont want it to lose to much weight ! probably fly off the trail if they do .i like to be stuck to the trail! i have ridden light weight sleds and i do like the light feeling,but being grounded on a machine in slippery frozen ground feels better to me and im am a 155lb lightweight all sports rider thats been doing it for 30+yrs ! not a sit down all the time cruizer !i love my old 06 apex that i dialed in ,i love my buddys 12 with eps too ! Yamaha sits back and watches what the others do and will bring it when time comes ! just like the others watch yamaha .

Snow Trax also said they were the first to make a 4 cylinder in the modern era, the vmax 4. The first to use oil injection and the first to use molded rubber tracks. I'm excited to see what comes next. But I think it will be tough to keep up with the style, rider position, and weight of the other brands with out getting too far away from the apex.

This is very true, I own a 08 apex and a 2012 grizzly and since the remake of the grizzly in 2008 up untill now nothing has really changed, my 2012
Grizzly and my buddies 2008 grizzly look pretty much like twins. Sad to say but there's no need to change what works, if it's not broken don't fix it, everyone loves a grizzly but we still want a two up seater and a big bore signal cam or a 1000cc V- twin in a grizzly.

Like I told the reps. at the shows. I don't care if it costs 16 to 18 grand ""YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR""! My 07 Attak GT has 11,800 miles on it and I have no qualms riding solo anytime anyplace! My issue would be my riding skills letting me down not my sled.:rofl:
