2019 release

Where did this come from?

There is a video that someone posted on this tech of the 2019/2020. And it is all Japanese. The thing looks and sounds like a 4-hole Apex engine. But I would think they would need to replace that engine. Either way, you can see details in this video that you could not see anywhere else.

Go check it out before they take it down, as I bet it won't last long.

Maybe Yamaha will do the same thing they did with side x side and be the first to have a manual transmission in a snowmobile. Be fun to rev it up and drop the clutch lol

God, the wife loves this song .........:die

You know looking at the agreement and the statements that Cat made on growth in the future is kinda funny because Cat new at the time of their statement they were in trouble then, Yamaha I think took advantage of that to buy chassis and supply engines but not merge with Cat, make no mistake Yamaha knew Cat was on its way out and had a back up plan for there own sled chassis, Textron bought Cat for a song and Cat would have gone under without them doing so, Yamaha did not want any part in saving Cat, Textron I believe has bought Yamaha more time to develop their own chassis, ... of course this maybe farther from the truth but it is just my take on things seeing outside the" delta box".

Qoute per agreement,

Yamaha strongly emphasized that the new “mutually beneficial” agreement is not a merger with Arctic Cat now or in the future, and that this moment is a turning point as Yamaha recommits to the North American snowmobile market.

So is it an all Japan sled from Y this year, is Y ready.

I was reading a article in supertrax mag that Mark Lester wrote on "Why its a new Cat" what kinda stuck out to me thinking out side the box is the comment on shampooing and armor-alling for the sale of Artic Cat, now lets get one thing straight Textron is a monster company that produces products to make money period! they are not a in the business of charity or producing products for nothing because that product is a legend, I believe Craig Kennedy is under a tremendous amount of pressure from Textron to produce a sled line that continues to make big money and he has a limited budget to do so not the countless dollars some believes he has to produce, that is why Textron has put the semi gloss armor all on for now, Textron would drop the sled side of Artic Cat in a heartbeat if it does not produce after there investment, and Craig Kennedy knows this up front, so where does this leave Yamaha, Make no mistake the ceo's at Yamaha know exactly what they are going to do.

I hope so. The CEO at GE apparently didn't know what to do. What management needs to do is figure out HOW ski doo came from crap sales back in the 90''s to today, and they can't say just the Rev chassis. Quality? Racing? Hype? Lightweight? Can't be looks...
New ski doo guys rode my sidewinder, and love it so the ride isn't all that different...engine envy is pretty high though...lol!
Cat has a loyal base, but it may take time to shed the (lack of) quality image. And it will take money. Yamaha and cat can make a hell of a sled and bury the others if they want to. As for quality, US built Camrys are just fine, so we can achieve quality here too.
And ski doo technically doesn't make engines. Austrian Rotax does, and they own them. So Cat can use yamaha engines...no need to build their own. No one cares doo engines are made overseas.

Rotax has a major high tech facility in Austria,.. another thing about Cat that I found interesting is that they were holding their own, and had some sizable cash reserves for developing new tech just months before the sale to Textron but they didn't do that, maybe I shouldn't say this but i'm thinking the Investors of Cat new they wanted out and had a potential buyer on the horizon so they took the cash reserves plus another 80 million in credit and cleaned out the company and drove Cat to ruination, i'm thinking they filled there pockets leaving the workers the pride and backbone of Cat to the wolves, maybe i'm wrong, but it sure looks kinda shady how things went down, a company that is suppose to care so much about its workers, unbelievable, its know wonder Yamaha did not want to merge, word of caution.. investors and "NEW" investors are brutal when it comes right down to it, make no mistake Textron would be no different.
