So just seen another new 2020 post started on the General Yamaha Discussion forum......really.... :dunno:
Yeah, check it out once. The POS yamacat they had for the press to try out came back broken. Real nice look for Yamaha.

Its in the thread that Mr Sled started yesterday, not the new one. My mistake

VK is gone now. 100% ArcticCat lineup. If that VK replacement, Transporter has a cat 2stroke (doesnt say), that would be a full AC sled with Yamaha stickers. Dont get much lamer than that.

I would have snowchecked an mtx with the alpha skid, but nothing not even a king cat with the alpha....everysled is using cat parts, why not the alpha! Idiots

Funny how Yamaha says Advanced Roll Center Suspension (ARCS) and Cat is Arctic Race Suspension (ARS)
Face it, You all ride Cats now

Welcome to the family

Transporter 2 stroke= Cat with BNYG (Bold New Yamaha Graphics)

Talk about disappointment... I was hopping this was the year for something new other then stickers. I'm sorry but Yamaha is shooting themselves in the foot and will only get deeper in the whole with this line up. No mountain sleds and no beginner sleds is bad. Not everyone wants a 200hp trail sled. At this point I think Yamaha is only putting sleds out to satisfy the few. They could care less what they are selling.

One more thing... If that Transporter has a Arctic cat 2 stroke in it then I'd be really ashamed to be working for Yamaha. What a damn joke!

Seems to me they are merging and splitting the market.
Cat has the 2 stroke and mountain segments and Yamaha has the go fast trail segment.

With this arrangement Yamaha is paying Cat big time since the only Yamaha motor in a Cat is the Thundercat now

Disappointing after reading through the article. Where it all leads I just don't know. A merge of some sort to make a complete lineup again? Does Yamaha at some point just give up on the sled thing and supply motors only to Cat like Suzuki did for decades? Just doesn't seem like their heart is in it?

Its not. Clearly by this line up they don't care about selling sleds.
