Too bad they don't offer a 4 holer as an option, easy enough to do.After watching the video I see at least they are building more sleds in Japan this year. The Venture TF sure looks like my Vectors. It is obviously a delta box with EPS.
Along with the 2018 Apex shock/suspension upgrade. Hard to believe they created/engineered it for one season then poof it is gone?

Really i can't believe some of you guys on this forum I'm pretty sure there was numerous people that tried to tell you all not to expect anything more than BNG. I don't know what you expect from Yamaha i doubt that they are going to stop making snowmobiles. So if you don't like the direction they are heading keep driving your Apexs and Vectors or maybe some still have a old 2 strokes. Or maybe you could go by a cheap disposable 600 Ski Doo but please quit complaining and give it a rest getting very old. No matter what some of you think there are a lot of happy Yamaha owners out there.
And how does someones annual disappointment in Yamahas lineup ruin your endless happiness? Just go be happy, which by the way you don't sound too happy complaining about people on this site. Who are you to tell the others how to feel? I'm glad you're happy but when a manufacture tells you they are committed to the snowmobile business and year after year they do very little to prove it, people have a right to be frustrated. I guess I was expecting more than new color schemes and names for Arctic Cat's innovations.

If that concept helps you sleep at night I hate to inform you that corps file patents to seal off technology from competitors make them pay licensing fee to produce technology. Yamaha has no interest in producing any of the many patents you have seen on TY they just file because they can. Patent lawyers are a dime a dozen on the payroll.
And? Your point is?

A lot of complaining about what didn't come out in the new lineup. Did anyone really expect a new Apex like chassis with a 2 stroke 6,000 HP, nitrous funny car motor? I think it is simple, if you don't like what Yamaha put out and want a new sled look at a Poo or Ski-Doo, or an Arctic Cat even, buy it, ride it and if you like it ride it some more. I just don't see Yamaha making a sudden move to a whole new platform and engine. The Yamaha engineers believe their engines are good, they are. They believe that the SRV chassis is good, it is. They know they need to tweak some things to make it better, they are. A lot of us like them, a lot and are happy. Some aren't happy and need to move on, I don't think anyone here will say bad things or be butt hurt if you go. But for the sake of god either be happy and ride a yamaha, or be happy and ride something else; just stop whining!

It is really too bad they did not put an Apex motor in the Venture, would have been the best 2 up sled in the industry!
I've wished for that since the sled first came out. I'd buy one even if I had to sell the car

So if they put the Apex motor in the Venture, change up the seat to a WRP and now you would have a 151" Apex. Problem solved!

This and last year great winters, well most of them are great, one or two bad onesThe winter isn’t great everywhere. South western Ontario is the worse it has been in years. It’s never amazing but this year is just terrible for riding around home.

Well as I had no real expectations from Yamaha (2021 is the year LMAO) unlike many I'm kinda surprised. VK Pro and Venture back and I love the Sidewinder two up (over 21,000 dollars). Only down side is the Venture is a 1049 not Apex power and the Winder is Turboed not Apex power, but thats just me. I'm Impressed by the Yamaha lineup, it actually has some Yamaha's, Good Job!

I'm used to disappointment, been riding Yamaha since 2005, been watching the disappointment and disappointment about the disappointed, every year since.

From a recent SEC filing:
Textron is in the third month of its restructuring plan that resulted in
product rationalization and the elimination of approximately 400 positions of Textron Specialized Vehicles’ /Arctic Cats' workforce, the closure of several factory-direct branch locations and a manufacturing facility. The restructuring actions also included the re-branding of some vehicles in the ATV line up back to Arctic Cat. However this plan has not produced the results that were expected in the operating results for these businesses. With that said we are looking at all of our options including the sale of the snowmobile segment.
There you have it. Look at the Cat and Yamaha 2020 line-ups and see the how they are pretty much making AC the 2 Stroke brand and Yamaha the 4 Stroke brand. Now I have no idea what will happen, but if Textron does sell the snowmobile segment who do you think would purchase it? I believe that it would create a great opportunity for Yamaha if they plan to stay in the snowmobile business like they have promised. Textron is certainly not making that promise!

A good company that had pride in their name would make a product that makes you want it! Not a product that if you are brand loyal... well this is what we offer. Sled heads are serious junkies. Snow totals is a pathetic excuse. The people in charge of Yamaha suck...pretty obvious. Not a single real new model, not even a Phazer replacement. Wont build a 2 stroke but will sell someone elses??? Pathetic and very embarrassing to wear Yamaha gear!Everyone that thought the snoscoot was a good fit for young-ins, that is now gone I am sure due to low sales.
Lets face it, the winters past has put a huge damper on the sled biz, and this awesome winter so far is possibly a fluke, who knows.
The other manufactures did nothing exciting, why would Yamaha have done anything different? Still the best sled in the biz as far as I am concerned. We will have to wait and see if winter seasons are really back, and maybe by then the 4 strokes will have a zillion miles and need to be replaced.
