The two Yamaha dealers in my area have no new snowmobiles this year. One of them has a few non current models that arent moving,a couple are 2017s.None of the dealers here will take my Viper or any Yamaha on a trade including one of the Yamaha dealers...thats crazy.Only the cat dealership said they would consider it but it would be a terrible deal for me.Used Vipers and Sidewinders are cheap and arent moving very fast at all.Its a pretty sad state for Yamaha dealers and owners around here.I hope something big is coming in 2020 but its a bad investment buying a Yamaha snowmobile around here.Im not sure if Im willing to go this route again and I say that with disappointment,I love the brand.

LOL!!people need to start a betting pool to whats going to happen$$$$$!!just remember its been a really poor winter and sales are down!!!:sled1:

3 straight $hitty winters..at least we can ride up north this year now!!

In Central Canada we have plenty... :D

Yep!

Weatherbell says by the end of March, people will be waving the white flag....it's coming! Jan.15 forward. Mainly the east will get the brunt as the cold backs in from Greenland. Tug Hill has snow....Old forge has snow....not a lot but rideable. It's coming!! Never give up; never surrender! lol

When I was a kid they had snowmobile trails in southern Wisconsin going everywhere that opened every year for a couple months......now they haven’t opened in years.

Warmth is creeping northward as the years go by, it’s just the reality of the situation. Trails in Wausau have been struggling to open for more than a couple weeks a year. They used to have a solid three month season. It’s happening all across the northern tier of states, this is where most of the snowmobiles are sold. Sure Canada has snow, but the majority of sales come from the US market.

It’s all fun when times are good to speculate about what the future holds, not so much in the current state of affairs. I’m holding out hope and at the same time just being real. If I ran Yamaha’s snowmobile division we would be making the BADDEST A$$ SLEDS AROUND!
I would be on TY every day asking all you guys what too do, and there would be no secrets as to what was going on.
But I’m not, and bean counters are so that $ucks! Reality Bites!

BTW yamaha does make the baddest sled currently! And Trump says there’s no such thing as global warming so we got that going for us anyway!

Yes same here in central WI. Not long ago we had awesome riding. No doubt the climate has changed. I don’t like the “global warming” word it just pisses me off to much. I like climate change better! Lol

Same here, 55 years old and we rarely saw winters like this year in and out when I was younger.

Plenty of snow in upper Michigan. Got 500 or so miles in two weeks ago. Sorry to rub it. No pun intended!

I have a trip up there starting Feb. 10th......as long as we don't hit any major warm ups we should be OK........but as we know that's no guarantee.
