Yes and it costs big bucks to change the tune with all the EPA rules. Highly doubt it has been changed but could probably find out since govt records are public. I noticed in pics the wiring is cleaned up like Winder. How about the ECU? Is it Cat or Yamaha Mitsubishi like Winder. If it is I will be making a BIG decision.Only reason it would change is if there is a significant change in air delivery.

Same here. I had pretty much decided that it was time to order a Winder. If they made a big improvement to the Viper that would change my mind. My worry now is if they picked the front end up to more of a snow cross setup I would want to introduce some sag to the front to keep the flat cornering. With the shocks on the SE I would be buying new shocks day one.

Just a ?.
Has the viper always had a bigger tank than the sidewinder?
I just noticed the viper has a 9.9 gal. (37.4 L) compared to the 8.9 gal. (33.61 L) sidewinder tank.
I’m starting to like the red on the GT. Decisions decisions..

right ! I have a red 16 RTX I got left over at end of 17 finally getting it the way I want taller windshield, clutching air box mod, new flash is much better etc. and what do they do ? come out with a RED one with everything all ready done to it ….. daaaaam I just may need one but being a cheap bastard I'll wait till March 2020 and save 4k on the price like I did on the 16...…… but then maybe an all new chassis for 2021 will tempt me. Procross has been out since 2012 Cat must have a new one in pipeline.Yes and it costs big bucks to change the tune with all the EPA rules. well crap on the ECU. ECU mapping was bang on from the get go on Nytro and its been years in the making for the yamacat. I was starting to think its finally safe to buy a Viper, but now second guessing. It's been 7 model years now under the cat banner so maybe they have it running as good as the nitro now? ECU on sidewinder seems bang on, wonder if yam did all the ECU?

something has to be different in the ECU if it now has new controls from bar switches to gauge readout such as bar/thumb warmers. My dealer tells me it is just the 19 flash.
