Why would you want to replicate the tuner ski with a siamesed carbide runner??? ..... For best results install a dual offset carbide runner.... And utilize the design of the new keel....

I put stud boy 9" shapers on my 2021 LTX, simply because I am running 192 studs and the stock bar from the factory only had hard weld on the short section.

First rip with my 21 SRX with stryke ski and all i can say is WOW!
I am very impressed with how this ski handles, even with the stock carbides! I purchased 6” slim Jim’s to put on them expecting the stock carbides to suck, and because that what I ran on my curves last season. But they stayed in the truck! The stock setup works very well. I’ll likely throw the slim Jim’s on at some point but I wouldn’t go rushing out to replace these skis like you would with the dreaded Tuners!
these skis flat out work!
cheers

I am also with 192 and i put woody's 8 inch on mine. I guess when i finally get to ride this thing I'm going to have to try them both. Thanks for the heads up i didn't thing the stock ones would of been enough.

Powderfalcon did you have a chance to try in loose snow ?

Snow trackers are in, after the great ride with stock carbides this should make steering flawless! Only thing to watch on install is instructions say drill 1/2 hole 4” in front of first stud hole , it’s more like 4 1/8 or a little more .

Mototown let us know how they work compared to the stock carbides. I put 600k on the 2021 srx last 2 days and found I had a bit more darting then I would like and still a bit to much push in the corners. I had snowtrackers on my apex xtx and loved how it handled. Looking at doing the same to my srx.

i thought, what the heck! See how they work. I was stunned. On hard packed trail, they were wicked!
didn’t try anything off trail, but will likely try them stock again and keep aftermarket in the truck as backup... as if they are too good to be true.
i did stiffen up my front skid shock as per my ‘17 and ‘19 preferred setting as well as let all the pre load off my front spring. Limiter strap all the way out and torsion springs on medium. Seems to be a turn key setup for me as a 200lb aggressive rider without gear

Not sure what 2021 Service manual says but my 2017 manual says under no circumstances should the limiter straps be let out. The track clips will contact the slide rail front caps and have the potential to break them causing the front of the rail to stab the track. Better check out what the 2021 manual says.

I had no idea. That is very interesting. I had 9000kms on my '19 and ran with the limiter strap all the way out the entire time. my '17 with 4000km was the same.
I will check and report back. thanks for the heads up!

My ‘20 manual says if you lengthen the limiter to the longest setting make sure to have at least 1/8” or more preload in the centre spring.

You should never have to move your limiter straps that is the last adjustment You should do and only if it absolutely needs to be done. If you pull it up you are limiting your travel and putting more ski pressure on the front. If you let it out your risking blowing out you center shock. The 2020 service manual also says to put rear suspension bolts in the lower hole. So what does that tell ya
