First thing I thought of was possibly to much torque on bolts ,when installing the gasket.Travis mentioned HALF the factory recommended torque,or 80”lbs.when re installing bolts.Along with loctite.I live between Thief River Falls and Roseau MN. Next weekend leave riding from my place to Sault St Marie and back. Sure hope the old girl doesn't puke oil again. Going back to black permatex.

I've used Permatex Optimum Black on 2 of them so far and it has worked great. Others also have good luck with Permatex The Right Stuff.I live between Thief River Falls and Roseau MN. Have over 6000 miles on mine everything looking good same for the driven clutch. I do like the design of the new Adapt should be a very good replacement. As for recall haven't heard anythingmany would love to know if AC will have a recall on Primary Clutch cracking on 2017 and newer Sleds.

There's a few threads on this. Short answer is don't count on it at all. Cat came out with ADAPT to "supposedly" solve problem without even acknowledging there was ever a problem.many would love to know if AC will have a recall on Primary Clutch cracking on 2017 and newer Sleds.

One thing I don't like about the new Adapt, is the buttons that transfer power to the movable is on a small circle, which isn't a good thing. It has been proven that more efficient power transfer is had by moving them outward, and now they just went the opposite way on the Adapt.
Lets see how this Adapt clutch works after a bit of time, they could end up with the same cracking issues. Cat has had a history of cracking primaries since the 90's.
I used to carry multiple new spares in the trailer to swap in because we wouldn't be allowed to race if a crack was found in tech, and they'd crack all the time drag racing with the heavy heat we would get with high RPM drag race starts on them. Its the heating and cooling and the starts that will kill them and start the cracks. We'd call it heat checking or cracking. Comet and Cat clutches were always the worst. Have never had a billet clutch crack however ever.

Changed out the leaking oil seal on the 2022. The entire gasket came off in one piece. Like no clean up. After putting BOP gasket in I was wondering if guys are trimming it? A lot of extra material hanging out? I left mine alone as not to disturb it.

I didn't trim the outside of mine. I did clip the inside where the install video says to. It doesn't need much removed.
