Spoke with the sales guy at our local Skidoo and Yamaha dealer today. He just called several people to let them know their Skidoo won't deliver until Jan, which he said means between Jan 15th and Feb 15th. BRP is giving them the option to back out with full refund or just wait it out. He said there is no specific model or option that seems to be delayed.

These reports are so random and conflicting. Our local Yamaha/skidoo/Polaris dealer has been getting in lots of there skidoo spring checks, Some Polaris too. They didn’t do any Yamaha this year that I was aware.

I should have added that my dealer IS getting sleds in but some are delayed. They even had 4 new Skidoo's on the showroom floor not yet spoken for.

Just got a call XTX-LE Sidewinder mid to late December

I spring checked in March curious how they do deliveries. Really hoping not much later than December we have a short season

I've seen alot of tractor trailer loads of skidoos and lynxs in the last couple weeks during my travels along the Trans Canada hwys. I haven't seen any other brand yet though.

Nothing changed on the top gear on the 2022.. Appears to be same bushing/NO holes through gear.. Every thing else looks same also as far chaincase.. Took out chain roller and had bolts welded.. 21/41 gears on the LTX 137. Same Same as 2017 from what I saw

Insight I had gotten was that the jackshaft on 22's are receiving a finer polished finish in the area where bushing rides. The shaft polishes it self over time but when new it's more abrasive and wears out the bushing. Beings the wear only occurs when using reverse it can take awhile for the abrasiveness to wear away.

Could be. I didn't notice or really checked that jack shaft area over. Might be hard to notice a finer polish.

I have to disagree here.
I believe that although the gear only turns on the shaft in reverse it is the load from the chain that is causing the wear on the bushing. When the bushing does not fit tight it creates an uneven load across the bushing.
There is no way that bushing can wear that fast from short use of reverse

I agree with you 100%. The first year on my sidewinder I know for a fact, 100% positive I only used reverse two times over 2300 miles. When I disassembled the chain case that spring the bushing on the sprocket was worn excessively. Last winter are used the DMC upper gear and had zero wear, I think the longer bushing distribute the load much better and so far is proving to be a solid fix.
