They should have called it the Mach 1. Then it would not have been a disappointment. Expectations was that it was going to run with and beat the 998 all the way through. Its sad because DOO had 5 years to bring something and they did not. If you ask me, it was a total Marketing scheme with the SS shocks, Launch Control, 900R motor from the side by side, and it worked.

Marketing schemes is what Doo does best

Never wanted it in the stable in the first place. Was an investment opportunity that Doo screwed me on by late delivery.

You should have ordered a C8 two years ago and could have made around 30 grand. At least you could drive it 8 months a year up in Canada.

Ski Doo does have a quality product but doubtful to get 998 levels of hp on stock internals and as old as the cat chassis is, it still looks great no matter the color.

You are in for a treat. One ride on a tuned 998 and you'll never want back on the doo again! You'll see what I mean soon enough. Took me all of 5-10 min to fall in love with the ride and handling. I take that back. I couldn't believe it could corner so aggressively with me sitting so high on it. It took me a longer than that to start cornering quick with it, because one would swear it would be top heavy and lift the inside skis like the Doo does. so it did take me a little while to feel confident in it I guess.

I think you are going to be surprised! Your gonna love everything about it I suspect.

You now have the best of both worlds Chris. I remember when I first got my 2017 Winder. It really surprised me how well it did everything. The guys on DooTalk didn’t like me praising that sled but they never had a problem with all the Poo lovers over there.

Lots of complaining on DooTalk about low RPM's on Machs. I guess the Adrenalin and Xpkg 900r's are running circles around them and running the proper RPM's. The only difference is the Mach has different clutching. It sounds like Doo screwed the pooch with the Mach clutching.

Guessing maybe a Cat clutching engineer maybe switched teams and did the Mach clutching? Just a guess though.
