2022 real world results

I have a 900 and just got this on Tuesday. I'll be the judge :-o
Hahaha I know exactly what you are up too with that sled...
The srx is going to blow your mind when finally get out and smash the throttle..

As you know I test drove mainy tuned 900t and they are not even in the same category to a hopped up 998.

Guessing maybe a Cat clutching engineer maybe switched teams and did the Mach clutching? Just a guess though.
They seem to screw up clutching on stock sleds no matter the brand. I remember all the complaints about the clutching on the 2017 Winder. I found just a secondary spring change made the difference On mine.

Indeed! Cat is the King Of stock clutching screw ups!! Hand down world champ. Lol.

Lots of complaining on DooTalk about low RPM's on Machs. I guess the Adrenalin and Xpkg 900r's are running circles around them and running the proper RPM's. The only difference is the Mach has different clutching. It sounds like Doo screwed the pooch with the Mach clutching.
Its not just the Mach as some 900R X's are doing the same thing. Its a mess for sure...

They all have had their moments. Maybe Yamaha being the best until they clutched the winder. Skidoo has had major problems in clutching for years. Skidoo XP800, G4 850's all blew belts like crazy. China junk TRA's from 07-2017. My 1200 blew belts as well. TCAT besides the clutch's cracking have been pretty good. Will see what the new clutch brings. Most OEM 600 sleds seemed to be all good, but any more power then that and they all seem to drop the ball.

It’s not just blowing clutches apart. I’m talking more about the whole setup in general. Cat has missed set ups for many years. The worst by far. They have been light on weight in the primary for like 30 years? Lol. No really.

Chris, Have you never ridden 998?

You are in for a treat. One ride on a tuned 998 and you'll never want back on the doo again! You'll see what I mean soon enough. Took me all of 5-10 min to fall in love with the ride and handling. I take that back. I couldn't believe it could corner so aggressively with me sitting so high on it. It took me a longer than that to start cornering quick with it, because one would swear it would be top heavy and lift the inside skis like the Doo does. so it did take me a little while to feel confident in it I guess.

I think you are going to be surprised! Your gonna love everything about it I suspect.

I rode a 2017 ZR9000 for about 10 miles but that's it Mike.
Didn't care for it because it didn't belong to me. Back then I just wanted to be back on my Doo. I was blinded by the brand lol.

Interesting, when I rode my buds LTX-LE I fell in love with it almost instantly. My Doo was faster but the ride and handling of the Winder I knew I'd be buying one. I was so sick and tired of the ski lift on the Doo and firing to keep the skis on the ground yet keep the ride I just knew I was done with it after one ride.

What's funny is when I bought my LTX-LE, I thought I made a grave mistake, It didn't "feel" like my buds at all. I felt my knees were slamming into the plastic and I knew the ride was off and poor. It was an easy fix after taking suspension setting from his which was full soft, and throwing that into mine and just pulling the riser back more into line with the steering post. I had the riser moved too far forward like I did with my Doo's and my knees were smacking the plastic hard and I felt like I was reaching to grab the bars. I had to laugh once I got it set to my liking. So don't set it up like you would your Doos to start. LOL.

Ya I like the rattle in yami clutches along with the rollers !! Ya I have a 06 nitro that clutch really rattles.

I have seen 2 2022 new turbo’s one Mach that spits and sputtered and back fires. The other a turbo R taching right at 8000 and it runs hand in hand with the 850’s and then the 850 pull on top AND the turbo is taking 1.5 more gallons at full up than the 850’s on 7 gallon fill ups.

My buddy is beside himself with the turbo Doos. He's getting outrun by by his nephews 850Doo on his TD tuned 900t and his new Mach. All they did was put a clutch kit in the 850. Doo better rethink the 900 turbo deal for their choice of engine Their freaking dogs for a turbo powerplant.

That low RPM, small port, small bore 900 engine is really a poor choice for a turbo powerplant, can't believe Doo chose that engine to be their boosted engine. Lots of reports/complaints of the Macks and 900r not performing at all on DooQuack. Some can't go over 100. A far cry from their awesome underdog 1200 engine they had with Petronas.

So how does the 900R compare to stock winder head to head drag race 0 to 1/4 mile and beyond?
