So you drove to Hazelhurst to the Cat dealer to ask about the Yamaha's that's weird, if you were so worried about it you could have just stopped at the Yamaha dealer 5 miles down the road from the Cat dealer in Miniocqua or there is also one in Tomahawk. At least they had machines there because if they wouldn't of you probably would off bitched because there was none there I don't understand some of you guys are never happy.1nc 2000, You Won! You are exactly right! I couldn't get my picture to upload off my phone. They also had a snoscoot and a Venom there. I should probably have put this post in the 2022 debbie downer thread but like I said I couldn't upload the photo.
I went to the Artic dealer from Hazelhurst to get the lowdown on the Yamaha display. He informed me that he heard the 4 sleds were protoypes from the Minaque test facility. I asked him if he knew where the reps or dealer for the display was. He said there wasn't any that he knew of and that he was going to let his brother know who is the Yamaha dealer in Minoaqua.
Does Yamaha even care about their about their product? Their customers? Their dealers? No representation with a display is worse than no display at all. I am so disheartened with the companies don't care attitude and lets do what ever Textron wants and tells us to do when it comes to product.

Maybe I should be a little clearer, no I was at the track all weekend, no road trip to Hazelhurst, Tomahawk, or Minocqua. Cat and Yamaha were the only ones there. I talked to the Cat dealer, Roy the owner, who was at the Cat display. I was trying to get some imput on the reverse gear bushing to see if he heard of any updates, they do use the same gear on the Thunder Cat don't they? No Yamaha guys there to ask! His dealership is in Hazelhurst and is only a few miles from Yamaha's test facility where the prototypes were suppose to have come from. Do you know the locations of both facilities? Look them up on google if you need confirmation. His brother is the owner of the Yamaha dealer in Minocque. He had a call into his brother about it, it had him wondering. On Saturday he put a pile of his brother's cards on the tunnel of the SRX. So tell me what is weird in all that!So you drove to Hazelhurst to the Cat dealer to ask about the Yamaha's that's weird, if you were so worried about it you could have just stopped at the Yamaha dealer 5 miles down the road from the Cat dealer in Miniocqua or there is also one in Tomahawk. Ok now I smell what your stepping in, your first post was a little cornfuseing. The Cat dealer is along ways from the test facility unless you can go the way a crow flies. Yamaha dealer is closer I know and have been to all three some more than others. So now that we got that straighten out what did they tell you about the reverse gear you asked about. Let me guess they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix right.

The Cat jack shaft is different than the yamaha's because of the different secondaries. He said the cats don't seem to have the ware I was referring to. He hasn't heard of any updates. Yes I was meaning by the way the crow flies! So what does it smell like... you have your opinion and I have mine.Ok now I smell what your stepping in, your first post was a little cornfuseing. The 2 strokes don’t have a top gear that rotates on shaft so I guess he is telling some truth! Is he blowing smoke up my #*$&@? Maybe he is maybe he’s not but not anymore than anybody else would!

Not sure what he’s telling. I believe we are talking about RR Motorsports In Hazelhurst? I do know they helped me out one time in a big way. I did not buy my sled from them. But I later found out they are really good friends with the dealer I bought mine at. Maybe that’s why after I told him where I bought it he looked at his kid and says”get him whatever he needs”. So either way they all blow smoke. But still a really good dealer. I would buy a cat from them any day.

Never once did I say RR was a bad dealer I have bought parts from them numerous times they are a great dealer probably the best Cat dealer in the area. All I'm trying to say is that the Cat 4 strokes have the same problems as the Winder does and the reverse gear is one of them. So if I was to ask a Cat dealer about any updates to the reverse gear and they said we don't have a problem because the shaft is different I would be scratching my head wondering what they were talking about. I completely understand if you had no experience with the problems these machines have and you were just probing for info the dealer could tell you what ever they want and you wouldn't have a clue what they were telling you.

Never got that impression at all! Great dealer. Yes he is somewhat telling the truth, and that is the first thing he said to fix the problem, "buy a two stroke", It was a good laugh! If I was to buy a Cat I would seriously talk to him even though he is 300 miles away from me. He tells me he has been selling Cat for 50 years. He's definitely old school! We started talking a little Cat history and current Cat ownership, (Textron), and how he felt about the future of the company. Would love to sit down with over a few beers and talk sleds! The 2 strokes don’t have a top gear that rotates on shaft so I guess he is telling some truth!
