The Matryx is a great sled but you will miss the MS16 big time. I rode a 650 . The 850 has a little more grunt but not in the same zip as our sleds. I live on a huge lake so I need a Winder.I have a 2018 RTX SE with MS16. All our trails are twisty. I have been seriously considering a Matryx instead. I guess I need to try one out.
I'm really digging MS16 so far.

Agree on the manual shock. Ever since my Apex GT with the electric Ohlins I swore I would never get an electric shock again. I fixed that stupid thing more than I can mention.I hear ya.....I am aiming to own 2 sleds going forward. One for the big Qc trails and one for my local area where the 2s works well. I am keeping open mind to see what comes out over the next couple of weeks, and am considering the Matryx too. Really hope YAM/CAT has some updates, even is small. I'm worried Cat may be done with their Snowmageddon as they typically announced that pricing very early on. Otherwise the Tcat will likely be priced similar to the Winder, with the only price advantage being the manual Qs3 option. I really wish YAM would offer the manual shock option on the LE/SRX.

You do know the only difference in the Matryx compared to last years XC 137 is a lower seat and different shocks, the front and rear suspensions are the same..I hear ya.....I am aiming to own 2 sleds going forward. I have a inside source that works for Polaris in Roseau and mentioned there is a whole bunch of new things coming down the pipe. My money is on a four stroke and a Polaris turbo.

My friend has the 850 and it is not even close to my winder. He also struggles to keep up on the twisties..Its all in the driver not the weightThe Matryx is a great sled but you will miss the MS16 big time. I have heard this many times too. It would make sense for POO to bring out a 4s. They are going after DOO for sales, I believe POO already sells MORE 2s sleds right now, but DOO sells a ton of 4s, believe it or not DOO sells the most 4s sleds of all(including cat/yam combined). So POO certainly needs to get in the 4s game to gain share on DOO. I believe they will have a 110-120hp 4s entry sled maybe this season, which may be the lightest most nimble 4s ever built, and if that does well they could turbo that a few yrs later to be competition to DOOs 900t.I have a inside source that works for Polaris in Roseau and mentioned there is a whole bunch of new things coming down the pipe. My money is on a four stroke and a Polaris turbo.
I still don't see any competition for the Winder, but ya never know. I just dont think DOO cares that much. I think DOO is taking note of the Matryx popularity more than anything and will counter with at least a new LED headlight/glove box combo, and needs to up the TECH badly if they want to compete with the vR1 7s display. The BRPGo app and their latest gauge has been a huge flop.
Looking at the 4wheeler world, POO seems to be ahead in all those categories and they want to get there in the sled world now.
I'm looking forward to all the new iron for '22.

And who would build this 4 Stroke motor for Polaris. If they build it in house along side of there SxS motor it won't last and won't make any power unless they turbo it from the get go and then it will be a fire ball waiting to happen.

2022 on order. I've been offered $500 less then what I paid for my 2020 (ignoring dealer fees). I think I'm going to grab it, if its true. Spent alot of money/time/BOP fixing issues that will never be recovered. I guess I gotta do it all over again but now heading into the winter and we stiill don't know Covid impact. Thanks

hey Steve, good luck on the new sled. The new sled will come with the strike ski so you should be good to go out of the box. Give me a shout sometime. Joe2022 on order.
