I ran a 14 Viper RTX with a 190kit and it took me two seasons to get it to work correctly and even then it wasnt perfect.This year i went with an XTX added a 1.75 back country TD eco trail,TD turbo force and Dalton weights and a earth X battery.This thing runs perfect.Pulls smooth and hard.I am unsure of what a stock winder is like but there is no comparing this new one to my old boosted one with respect to just overall performance.I am very happy i went with the 141 and deeper lug as it hooks up, still pull past 115mph and will still do powder not bad.I also ran a 16 RMK 155 in BC last year and this Yamaha honestly is quite decent in deep snow.I am very very happy with this sled.I love Yamaha and am very happy that we are back in the game.

TD ECO TRAIL/ turbo force muffler. Very happy with tune and exhaust. And actually got stopped and talked to a MI dnr for about two minutes with sled running. He never even said anything about sled. Just asked where I was headed. Lol.
Very happy with TD stuff. The sled is very strong

Not so much with a few other things unrelated to the tune and muffler

That's good news about the DNR. In general I think they view four strokes on a different level. How did your belt hold up?

Belt did not break BUT tons of dust TONS. SECONDARY binding. Belt is for sure slipping secondary.

Nope. Hopefully Got things figured out. I'm actually one of the few running the longer 8dn belts. My secondary spring is binding badly. Having helix machined. And I'm betting my offset is OFF. And I'm betting that the helixes are different from sled to sled. Which doesn't help. Sled at dealer for engine oil leak. That's about it for now! Lol.
O and scrubbing Yamalube and belt dust stains off my new Klim bibs

Glad to hear you are making progress. I'm still waiting on new rollers to come in and getting my ducks in a row to do some testing on the weekend with a new 8dn.

I'm thinking when I put rear clutch together I'll do the old Blackjohn trick from the old RX1 days. Before putting on helix, I'll put a lock washer on each stud to space helix out, hence adding a little overdrive by giving the spring a little more room in case it is indeed binding. Usually doing this makes helix a little steeper if using a progressive cut, but with straight cam it won't matter so worth a try.

Like the shim idea for sure. Check your spring for paint wear!
I have cat rollers in mine they are better then stock. Now we just need helix that has all three rollers TOUCHING!

No paint wear, but did notice some rust dust......for a lack of better words, near bottom of spring. Not sure cause of this, but I'm thinking due to harmonic imbalance, or vibration of some sort. Maybe someone can shed some light on the cause????

Rust dust/ I will take a shot. LOL. Guessing its maybe a wear spot and then the change in temps from running to shutting down in very cold temps overnight=rust dust. Guessing

Anyone care to share their opinions on run quality that currently have a tune with muffler 250 or below?
EVO vs Bikeman vs TD vs DD?

Lets be honest here most of these vendors will likely have an "improved" tune like we've seen with the 1100t many times.
Will Lonn's thunder kit have enough weight for a 250 tune?
