I tried to purchase only the fuel pump tank cover with return nipple but no go..habah. unfortunately they will not sell the lid individually..The precision kit is top notch and a quality item. They never cut corners on parts and the price reflects that lol. They have 2 regulator options. One is 43.5 psi. The other is for their stage 4 kit and is 56 or 58 psi and I believe is only sold with their stage 4 kit.Their regulators are non adjustable. An adjustable regulator could not be added to the kit as it would involve removing their regulator from the rail and installing the return line nipple thats used with an adjustable regulator. The adjustable regulator replaces the rail mounted regulator included in their kit.
I was kind of hoping one of our vendors would make the cover..

Maybe we can get KKD to make them for us.

Ya im kinda leery about using that push in elbow and rubber grommet. When the tank is full to the cap I believe that the fuel is right up against the tank cover not sure if that push in elbow is designed to be used in that manner. I would rather have a threaded in return nipple but the plastic on the stock cover is pretty thin. Oh well, it seems others are using the push in elbow without any leakage so maybe know worriesI tried to purchase only the fuel pump tank cover with return nipple but no go..habah. unfortunately they will not the lid individually..

PEFI upgrade kit justinator speaks of uses a Radium (http://www.radiumauto.com/Universal-Pressure-Regulators-C114.aspx) non-adjustable regulator. I have installed at least 3 of these kits. All 3 fuel pressure was exactly on 43.5 psi key on engine not running. Radium does make the same regulator that is adjustable. I don't know if the adjustable ones would have the same 6AN outlet that is important.

As long as they aren't damaged at install and the stock grommet is used, I've never seen them leak. Whatever they're doing, it must work. It's high enough in the tank so that it wouldn't be blocked/obstructed (by gas) even if the tank is very full.Ya im kinda leery about using that push in elbow and rubber grommet. Yes,mine used to do this also, and after we drilled out the valve, sled runs good now.Mine used to backfire when the tank got low. I drilled out the fuel tank vent check valve and it went away.

Where is this check valve? Is this why you can hear the fuel cap whistling at times of temperature change while it is sitting (and change in pressure in the tank)?Yes,mine used to do this also, and after we drilled out the valve, sled runs good now.

Return orifice size has nothing to do with vent. These sleds have a check valve orifice for vent. As pressure builds in tank, at some point it will start to vent (whistle you hear). If you don't like sound, just loosen gas cap.
The return flow to corner of gas tank is controled by fuel pressure regulator then by size of orifice size in elbow fitting. From 2017 to later sleds the orifice in the elbow was made larger. Return flow is important. If not large enough, fuel pressure in rail will be too high and fuel mixture will be rich causing poor idle, rich low throttle operation, and poor fuel economy which is reason for change to larger orifice. I don't remember the exact sizes. Early small orifice elbow was red. Later was black.

Soo after doing updated fuel pump return from rail to top of fuel pump to prevent starvation,... where the original return was...i added a long fuel line hose from elbow up into riser and back dwn as an added vent for tank. no issues soo far. i used to hate that squeal as tank vented.

That factory vent "squeal" was the pressure in the tank escaping. the factory vent prevents the light ends or vapor from escaping until it reaches about 3 lbs of pressure or so. Its actually beneficial in keeping the light ends in there and the fuel fresher...
Taking that pressure from the tank and just allowing it to vent under atmospheric at any time will allow the fuel to go stale quicker. Holding pressure on the tank is actually a good thing for fuel freshness FYI.
Now go plug that vent off that you vented to the riser. You can thank me later when you don't blow your motor up from stale and lower octane fuel!
Gasoline under pressure is the best way to keep it fresh and keep the octane levels.

lol learn something new every day... thanks knapp, makes sense as same goes for gas cans. That factory vent "squeal" was the pressure in the tank escaping. the factory vent prevents the light ends or vapor from escaping until it reaches about 3 lbs of pressure or so. Also possible if sled was on it's side, you'd get some liquid gas coming out of that vent hose.

True, didn't even think of that.

Last season while working on high elevation header tunes with dave at hurricane, i discovered that my fuel preasure increased at idle and when not underboost by installing return line to top of pump area. Am running a areomotive pump, this would only happen when tank was half full or higher, to cure this i added a "t" fitting at point where it used to dump into tank, thought i would share this info incase others are running richer after higher pump install.

So you are dumping the return to the original location as well as the new location on the pump? Where did you locate your Tee? Seems like the new location on the pump should be the primary location.Last season while working on high elevation header tunes with dave at hurricane, i discovered that my fuel preasure increased at idle and when not underboost by installing return line to top of pump area.
