Well after a lot of deliberation; Hurricane 270 it is. Ron Ward clutch kit, Kolenko cold air intake and the Sandale Hyperflow. Thanks to Guy Hache at West End Sports for his patience and information. Also thanks to Beerman, lakercr and Dan for all of the great informstion and test results they shared.

Yeah, me too.
Kit is Dalton based. Black-Orange in Secondary. He calls for it wrapped 6-2. That seems pretty stiff to me? Stiff for backshift I assume. Kit comes with a Dalton Helix also, no idea of angles. That is not shared. Also Ron recommends an ULTIMAX XS 825 belt. He actually has his own, specially made for his customers - Arctic Cat 998 belt.
If there is an issue with belts I will be making the trip to his shop. I will have him align and machine the clutches as needed. He had one secondary that was out .120". Thats a considerable amount on this kind of power.

6-2 wrap is actually what Dale recommends for that spring. The tangs are slightly different than the previous version and in needed 10° more wrap to have the same pre-tension.Yeah, me too.

Yeah i have had long talks with Ron about belt life and clutching, he is much more into the cat(TEAM) side of things, so Im anxious to see how you make out. I ran pretty much what you will be running. I assume Ron knows about the lowered offset much of us are going to, but not certain he includes that in your setup. I know he has his own belts made for cats(made by timkin) and also likes the Ultimax for the winder, which I ran last season some and am running this season too.Yeah, me too.
