I broke the motor in this weekend and had fun trail ridding at 275hp. Up till 75 mph only 5 lb of boost, great trail sled. Going ice fishing this week with my uncle. I can race all weekend and fish all week with the same sled. I love by turbo.

No dyno time, using old mcxpress dyno numbers. The turbo spools a like like the 25 I had last year. My homemade bracket could be letting the wastegate move a little. It needs to be welded to the housing.

No offense AB, but you aren't making 275 HP.

Im one of the first to say that hp numbers are often inflated but 275 hp doesnt sound unreasonable. Why do you say he is not making that? You can no more tell someone what hp they are making then someone can guess what their sled is putting out.

Actually a properly sized turbocharger with intercooler, proper A/F and timing will make 100% more power than stock at 15 psi, if everything is right.
So 280 is possible.

I see this all the time.

15 psi is 2 atmospheres.

Because we do tons of turbocharged motorcycles and snowmobiles at ECP. At 15 pounds of boost I would say you are making around 240 to 250 HP, depending on what exhaust system you are using. The dyno will tell all however.

You all have no idea how friggen violent 275 HP is. You will engage the clutch and swallow your tongue at 275 HP!

Freddie

I am going out right now to turn the boost up to 17 and 22, I hope I have enough weight in the clutch. Will report later.

I have rode mine at 20 lbs all day don,t know how much hp. it is but it sure feels good and haven,t swallowed my tonge

So at 22lbs with nitrous from the line to the flag I have no idea what 275 feels like? I think you are exagerrating the other direction here. There are a lot of us on here who know what 275 feels like IMO. Although I agree, you will just about swallow your tongue, at least the first time or two.

Supertuner - Guys put their sleds, cars and motorcycles to the dynos and get a HP number, why is it not correct? MCXpress have won dyno competitions with their Suzuki GSXR1300 Hayabusa turboed to more than 700 HP. My friends RX-1 turbo sled made 240 at 10 psi, adverticed hp was 235, this was done at MCXpress shop in Sweden. What dynos are correct???? I'm confused, whose numbers can I believe in????

Well, as you all now guys, threres a difference between the US and Metric horsepowers. For example:
US-DIN-HP=150
SWE-SAE-HP=148
If we count it down it equals: 275metric,HP = 278,72 US HP

But Mr Supertuner:Why are you so sure that none but your self is exp.that kind of hp? You´we gon way beyond it with your 7,97 sec/quarter mile.
Without any leaking T:s I´m confident that anyone with a turbo of (MCX,Bender,Or any of the other companys who knows what theyre doing)are
developing a lot of hp,AND for my owne experiencing REAL horsepower,
with dynoing.
My 300 hp would equalize 304,05 US horsepower so Congratiulations to all
US Citizens and Canadians of course!
And a Happy new Year!!!! ;)!
