Time has come to order my accessories for the Warrior. I was thinking of the windshield bag, the semi rigid saddlebags and possibly a rear trunk bag. As I have never seen the saddle bags I wonder if they would be big enough for a week journey without the trunk bag. My current set is combined trunk and saddle bag and is big enough. Other question is could you have both the trunk bag and saddle bag installed at the same time.
Lastly I need to purchase a cover and see that there are a few different ones. I don't want the cheapie but the other two one is canvas and the other surelast. I assume the surelast would be the same material as my Waverunner cover. Any comments on what is best?

Personally I have the winshield bag, semi rigid saddle bags. You cannot install a trunk bag with the semi-rigids. If I were to do it over again, I would NOT buy the semi-rigid bags.
1st. There are 2 plastic brackets on the bottom of the bags that slide over your running boards and mine have NEVER stayed on. In fact the one side broke off and I now just run the bags without the clip. Stupid design.
2nd. The bags hang out away from the running boards far enough that the slush, snow etc. from the ground/skis collects on the bottom of the bags. At night when we come in I have about 2" of ice stuck to the bottom of my bag and it's a pain in the a$$.
Buy the trunk bag if you can. I think it's a better setup and your clothes stay warmer and drier. The Semi Rigid bags are very large and hold alot of stuff I admit, but I think there are better choices. Check out the rack. I have seen them installed and they are very nice and you may have more options using that instead. My clothes were never WET but there was moisture in them a few times. I have the windshield bag this season and it looks nice. Can't see anything wrong with it and it would be good for maps, smokes, wallet etc. That would be a definate YES IMHO. Here's a pic....see what I mean...?

I have the RX1 combination sport luggage. Kind of like a trunkbag/saddlebag combo and holds quite a bit. Can hold enough for a four day bagger trip. Easy to take on and off to take in the motel at night.

Hey Sketr2....every time I post this pic I get asked the same question. Yes it is a map. The product is called a Map Jacket and it works great. I bought it from Dennis Kirk. I could not find it again this year but I have another link that might work....

Map Tank pag

Will the map bag separate from the tank bag or is it
all one piece?
I like to put my valuables/cell phone etc. in the tank bag
& take it off the machine when we go into resturants etc.

Re: Map Tank pag
bjrb,
Yes, the Map Bag is separate from the Tank Bag, velcro and (2) quick release straps hold the two together. The Tank Bag is held on by velcro and (4) snaps that you pop-rivit to the tunnel. Hope this helps.

I have that same map bag on my RX1 Mountain and I love it, gives lots of room for for extra clothes and the 2 small bags on the side will hold a 20 oz drink ez. Also the map area is large enough to actualy have a map big enough to read.
As for the cover, I spent the extra money for Yamahas delux cover. It comes with a very nice under cover and fits very good. I towed my sled last year to Wyoming (1500 mi 1 way) and the cover never losened up and didnt flop around. 1 of my buds Ski-do riped his cover and shreded to pieces

Well as usual I got my answers here! was just eyeballing the catalog trying to decide which bag to get. catalog shows bag but not on sled I wondered about the look and fit so I logged on here like I do everyday and BAM right at the top of the page was this post and in it were the pic's. You guys are the greatest as usual, now i just have to decide which one I want Can someone tell me how much room there is in the windshield bag looks kinda small but I'm looking for space for maybe a camera, gps and a light pair of gloves. will it hold that much? I do like the map bag so might just get that! Other thought is the rear trunk bag anyone know how it attaches and how easy it is to remove.... :?: oh yeah and the deluxe cover is the way to go fits tight and very durable liner is a plus even if it is a pain to deal with
thanks in advance

First, hi to all and this is a great site. I have been reading messages for several weeks now and just joined yesterday. I apologize in advance for any and all stupid questions/comments that I'm likely to make....
Great info thanks...Just a few more questions...
I like the idea of the rear rack but in the Yamaha picutes it kind of seems like it would block the rear light a little. Does anybody know if this is a problem? It would also be nice if they had the rack in a powder coat or anodized or something rather than the chrome but beggars can't be choosers I guess.
Second, regarding the deluxe cover, in the Yamaha catalogue they say that the deluxe cover is now made out of Surelast (sp?). Does anybody have any experience with this versus the duck? Is the innerliner a separate cover or just a lining inside the cover.
Thanks much.

My wife knows better....to ever mess with my garage  . Just last night I installed a 75,000 BTU furnace that hangs from the ceiling. Her only comment was "Now I'll never see you in the house this winter". My oldest son; who is only (4) thinks the furnace is a great idea, he told me he can now spend more "quality" time with me.
The wife thinks I'm nuts because I wash the floor every other week.
