Thats what I have and I dont think it plugs. All my issues are at hi boost so I havn't ran it at 18+ lbs long enough to see if the exhaust is a problem.

Mountain guys don't seem to have the tunnel dump problem. We beleive it has nothing to do with hi boost etc we truely believe it has to do with the air the track is moving when spinning at speeds needed to move the machine 130+ mph.

back to original post-dyno hp-mine is an 05 RX1 MPI SC @ 10-12 PSI stock motor = 224HP on the dyno w/jetting a little rich-now jetted better(shows 10.5 @ WOT) probably closer to 230 now
Hammer's competition point is well taken - I've raced and beaten several sleds that dyno'ed >240HP

millstreet - you're still too rich on your mains. Shoot for 11.8-12.0 WOT at max rpms.

Makes sense.
I ran 220hp on 9-1 compression @ 11.6psi and running pig rich too but with a less efficient supercharger.

RxRider-you're right I'm also a little lean(14.5-16) at idle I've just been too lazy to make the changes! After working on the thing most of the 05/06 season, I was determined to ride during 06/07 not wrench!I was also trying to be conservative while going through the learning curve with jetting. Now I just need to get the power to the ground-220-230 is more than plenty for a trail sled

I have not had a chance do do any real world testing yet. I am 300 feet above sea level....mine idles at 13 but as soon as i touch the throttle it seems to react. What pilots are most flatland guys using with a powderlites front mount? do 4 strokes like fuel or prefer to be lean?

I've got that lean spot at idle as well (14.5 at idle leaning out to 16+ in a few minutes), got it after replacing the stock MCXpress BOV with a Vortech Race Bypass, now I need to go up in pilot jets. But just as you I decided I could live with it for the reminder of last season, so I went riding rather than wrenching after the Vortech install. I will replace the 17.5 pilots with a set of 22.5 with screws 2 turns out. BTW the Vortech is working great, just needs a little more fuel down low.

We Dynoed a 03 rx-1 engine in a 94 mach chassie that made just a shade over 400 hp at 28Ibs of boost . it was running 160 jets and the air fuel ratio was right in the 12:1 range
This year with the new turbo, header, head, block and cams the same sled should see 550hp and 320+FPT.
400 hp allowed for a best run of 177mph this year with the added hp and reduction in rotating mass this sled should be able to achive the owners goal of 200mph.

Nice work. Mind sharing what turbo and turbine housing?
The main problem most people are going to have to make big hp on the dyno is the restrictive hot side, especially with the garrett t25 flanged turbos. You have the westgate exhaust dumping into the main exhaust at a horrible angle causing turbulance then the flange outlet is only 2". People are going to be lucky to squeeze maybe 370 hp with these turbos. Throw on a t3 hot side with a .63 a/r and a external westgate with a dump tube not rerouted into the exhaust and with the same gt28r you'll pick up at least 50-70 hp.

Sweet numbers, give us some more details on your setup. I've run up to 22 lbs. on an Alpine Apex but I haven't been able to dyno it.

Juste one simple question....
Does you dyno sheets use STD or SAE correction?
