Is it hard to replace the bulbs with Silver Stars? I haven't dug into mine yet.

for a few bucks more go buy some HIDs. Easy to install and HIDs are 10x brighter than SS's. I went through 2-3 sets of SS's in one season and they are only slightly brighter than stock; I'm going on my 5th season with HIDs and no problems. Buy the H4 Bi-xenon set.

Are wiring connections required to install the ballasts? Meaning do you have to splice into anything?

Just 12 volts from the battery, everything else just plugs together as I recall. You connect the HIDs into the sled using only one (1) of the stock headlight plugs the other gets taped off. Maybe there is another TYer near you that's done one before, but I found it to be a pretty easy install.

You'll also have to ground both relays.. assuming your kit has relays. Mine did.

Just installed a set of SledStart HID's that I ordered from Yamaha. Everything is plug and play, no splicing. Easy install once you take the whole hood assembly apart :o|

Here is what Mazz and I did for most of the day today. Hard to see some of it but we used 276 LEDs. Looks awesome in person!

If true thats amazing! I just bit the bullet and bought a LED yardlight. Works very well unlike the flourescents that take forever to turn on in cold. Let us know how it works.
