Blu2U2 said:I have rockmiester's HID kit and I think I may have blown a bulb. The sled has less than 14 miles and when I started it today to back it out of my trailer I noticed a flash on the wall the sled was facing. Now only the right side is working. Are these bulbs known to go out so fast???
I have never had an HID bulb fail in my last 3 sleds. All three have the Race Sport RS Elite Slim HID kit. But if it did fail, you can buy the bulbs separately.

HID bulbs are expected to last in the neighborhood of 2000 hours according to the specs.... ![Rockon  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/rockon.gif)

sounds good...i think that its not the time that the light is on, its the times that you turn them on and off that hurts them.

Ya hard to see. I have never had a light go out on me. So I wouldn't know what it would look like. Sucks though. Not really easy to replace the bulb.

Thats awesome, it just sucks to have to replace it. Those clips that hold the light in are a bugger!

Sledlites LED
Installed wwwSledlites.com Cree Led Head light 2HL-H4W-1800LM (50W). There are definitely at least twice as bright as stock. Very nice looking light. Installation was straight forward. Nice flat plastic housing on viper was convenient for screwing down both driver/ballast. You do retain high beam capabilities.
Did notice that hand warmers efficiency improved noticeably. Purchased them for $125.00 US and went to website the next day and they are now listed as $150.00 Canada.
They are CREE Led's and sledlites applied their stickers to box and drivers. Found them on line at numerous sites for $90.00 US and free shipping.
So far still appear to be another alternative to stock bulbs.
