Also have the Stage 2 Excell kit w clutching on my sidewinder and put on another 85mi on Tug Hill yesterday afternoon. Temps went from 10deg down to -12deg when we loaded up to head home. Tug had limited snow and riding was good with some surprising spots that allowed me to really open this sled up with some good sight distances for safety. Excell allowed me to turn it down to 1lb below stock, but still offers great power around 220hp when I didn’t need to have all that power, but when I wanted it, it was there big time getting me up to 13bs of boost. I have a total of 750+mi on this kit and to say its awesome is an understatement. I absolutely love the option to turn the dial when asking for that 255hp with this kit and felt all of that yesterday with the temps that we saw last night.

I can comment on fuel economy with the TD powertrail flash after 1500 Kms. Rode with 2 800 etecs and an 850.
Riding 70-80 km/h on average with occasional wide open bursts I was always 2-4 litres more than the 800s and 7-9 litres more than the 850.
Curious on the track length/lug height of the etec you are comparing to? I think you mentioned you have 1.75 track...that will cost you a bit of fuel economy vs a 1.25

not to start a pissing match , but the fuel milage u r getting seems not right , i just did a 1200 mile ride with 850 / 800 / skidoo / skidoo / polaris all 16 and 17 sleds ,. we were driving speeds of 40 -70 mph at times . all week long my sidewinder was 1-3 litres more fuel . which i was very happy with that , considering the mods i have done ,td power trail , gearing ,clutching ,track,
I was surprised how much the 1.75" drinks. My son had my Apex 1.75" and the sidewinder 1.25" always took considerably less at he pump. That Apex has always had good fuel economy before the 1.75" and now it's the gas guzzler.

ok this now makes sense with the 1.75 track , lol , buddies have free ride sleds they go threw gas pretty fast 80-95 miles per tank . they also have bigger tracks

I'm going to dump the 1.75 in a couple weeks and am thinking about gearing up as wellnot to start a pissing match , but the fuel milage u r getting seems not right , i just did a 1200 mile ride with 850 / 800 / skidoo / skidoo / polaris all 16 and 17 sleds ,. we were driving speeds of 40 -70 mph at times . all week long my sidewinder was 1-3 litres more fuel . which i was very happy with that , considering the mods i have done ,td power trail , gearing ,clutching ,track,

So the max PSI on excell's "dial a boost" is only 13psi?
Does DD have a higher boost piggyback avail? I rarely hear about DD on here.

Did you have any binding/spring/roller problems? Can you adjust the dial on the fly/while riding?

Yes, you can turn the dial why on the go. I don’t do it at higher speeds, but you can do it very easy. Clutching has been spot on. In fact I think my sled is making more power now after my first service/oil change. No issues with clutching. Great running sled with this setup

Thanks for the reply. How's your fuel mileage with this kit. Any word if they're uping their boost/HP? Other kits are in the 270 - 280 HP range with good fuel mileage and reliability.
The other kits are priced very competitively also.
