All trails in Porsanger are open until May 12.

Heard the good news today. Season are extended for 1 more week. The county were allowed to keep all trails open for one more week, yeeehaaaa happy trails - I'm out sledding until mid May.

We are getting dumped at as we speak. Temps at noon are just below freeze and we have got 1-2" of snow since yesterday down here at sealevel. Roads were closed this morning because of the blizzards going and the gail force winds.

Weather forecast for the weekend is promising with sunny weather and below freeze temps even at mid day I guess I'm out riding a lot this weekend cause the great conditions we have right now may not last very much longer before spring sets in with the usual riding thru water and slush trail conditions.

Here's a few maps

Finnmark the northernmost region of Norway. Norway is in the north and in the west. In the south west you will find Sweden. To the south is Finland. To the east is Russia.
